Magistrate Michael O'Driscoll made the ruling yesterday when he dismissed a case against a Gold Coast retiree charged with sending an offensive facsimile to a local politician, the Gold Coast Bulletin reported .

Denis Mulheron, 62, sent the fax to the office of Queensland lawmaker Peta-Kaye Croft on June 30 last year.

It called on the Labor Party to tighten immigration laws against "niggers" and "sandnigger terrorists", and Muslim women with circumcised genitals.

The majority of Adelaide Hills residents at a community meeting have voted against the Federal Government's plan to house 400 asylum seekers at Inverbrackie.

It was standing room only at the highly charged meeting last night as opponents ridiculed and jeered government officials who tried to speak.

More than 500 people attended the meeting at the Woodside town hall.

I've been talking with people at pubs, who are roughly speaking, of the same social group as me, aka, white. From what I can gather, the general disdain for Maori has grown in the last 2-3 years from the occasional hushed oath to what is now out-spoken declarations of, dare i say it, hate. I've heard people I've known for years, who have not said 'Niggers' now use it as a noun.

From what I can understand the wedge between black and white is being driven deeper and widening the rift between our two peoples, which we most certainly now are.

Edit: Instead of looking at ozzie and saying 'damn racist bastards' you should be looking closer to home to fix this situation before it becomes much the same.
