SotC & ICO in HD on PS3. May as well break the mold for any future ps3 games.
http://spawnkill.com/2010/09/15/ico-...tion-official/ Best rerelease ever. p.s. Frick. Wrong forum. Ah well.

Could've played these if the PS3 had backwards compatibility. Ah well, at least they're re-mastering them in HD I suppose.

Good way to add value to old games. I know there is a stack of oldies i'd love to play, just not on a 42" screen...

I tried re-playing them on our PS3 in BC mode but just couldn't get over the crappy graphics on such a big screen. :/

FUUUUUUCKKKKKK YES! I've been wanting to play an HD SoTC for ages, I had to settle for playing the original on the 60GB PS3 (which died to the YLOD, still waiting months for a replacement). This will be the beginning of refreshing all the old PS2 classics, a way for Sony to get around the no BC thing?

SOTC is really going to benefit from this HD redo, the original had a pretty choppy framerate at times, even the upper limit framerate wasn't hot.
ICO I really loved that game, it's ashame that so many people never got to try it the first time it came out, due to the small production run. I'll definitely want to play it again in 3D would be great if I can score a 3D TV first that is. |

Good news, will pick these up. They're going to be running at 30fps though - would have been nice to have 60fps...
