Yeah, mine was the '69 corvette, mostly upgraded, (I think I'm just missing a stage 3 engine upgrade), and yeah, so much fun.
Seriously considering a wheel, just don't know which one to get. |

Had a bit of 6 player online fun with some mates last night. Daytona is surprisingly fun! Two of us had a bit of a crash halfway through the race and did the Shake n Bake move from Talladega Nights to catch up 30 seconds on the leader in 7 laps.

the logitech g25/27 units are probably the best wheels you can buy for gt5 (due to supporting the 6 speed shifter and clutch pedals) but they are a real hassle if you don't have the space to set up a proper driving seat.
I have the g25 and I hardly ever use it because of how much work it is to setup.

Yeah that's what I thought, not sure I want to outlay that much cash for a wheel, (bites into my amp cash), given I'm not a huge racing game player.
But it's still a heap of fun. |

oh yeah if anyones interested, i'm gonna be selling my G25, my PS3 and GT5 in early-mid feb for about $5-600 all up. 40gig fat model with wi-fi and 2 usb ports. HDMI cable, one controller included.
Though i'd mention it in case anyone was lurking in this thread and keen on a deal.

Ok so I had some JB vouchers for Xmas, plus a few games that hadn't been touched in 8 months, so off I went to JB HIFI, scored a Logitech GT Driving Force, without having to part out with any cash per se.
Man have Force Feedback wheels come a long way from when I had my old Xbox! Talk about completely change the game experience. Re ran a few licenses, scored golds that I couldn't get near before. I liked GT5 before, I love it now. The missus said 'you need to build like a seat or something for it'... hello, I do believe that constitutes approval for build a driving rig! haha. |

Can finally put some more time in.
Still having heaps of fun lower lvls with the older cars. Had some cool laps this morning with a '61 Jaguar e-type coupe, sliding all over the place, barely in control vs Ferrari, Lambo & Chev's. Was great. |

Do some of the seasonal races if you want $. $1.5 mil for 5 laps around Rome track in a rally car - easy and profit

Felt a bit dirty getting a loan of blur's ZR1 and stomping a decent chunk out of A-spec.. but fuckit, it was good times!
A couple of other cars I'd spent way too much cash on previously, came in handy later on too, so was a good days racing |

3 races in the fictional x2010...rediculous beast of a car, cross between an lmp and an f1, so fucking fast, totally unforgiving on controller i gave up after 3 hours, could barely complete my pitlap let alone do a flying lap if u complete them u get the car, different colours for bronze silver and gold afaik Last edited by blur^ : 13th January 2011 at 23:18. |

ah ok, I'm level 21 but kinda hit the grind. Done all the specials including the Loeb one, but starting to get fustrated not having a wheel. Might spend some time on my B level driver to grind out some cash.

yay lvl35, got my free x2010
promptly entered it into my first 24hour enduro (currently 13 hours in) and 140 laps ahead of the race cars lol, lapping over 1min30 faster then the competition. ridiculous. |

^ this will be good. Interesting to see what happens with it.
Currently at level 27, hoping to crack level 30 this weekend. Am having major issues with the Historic Race Car in Expert but I think I've cracked it with the '74 Countach. The first race is giving me major grief, but I think it is possible with practice. Second race was pretty easy, got it the second time. |

heh my ps3 hasnt been off for about 10 days now
and the grind from 35-40 is like 5x longer then 1-35 or someshit at least i can just set a 24hour race now and not have to touch anything altho its getting annoying having to manually do an oil change between races, surely if ur running a race team your team would do that for you |

So I am at level 30 and 23 and I have all but given up on this. I can't really be bothered doing the endurance races in either mode, and I have pretty much played as much as I can take. Is anyone else in this boat or is it just me?

I could never find anyone to race with in the early arvo, it was discouraging that the filter settings were something like usa / europe+ausi.

for me the only way this will be worth playing again is if the 2.0 'official support' for the g27 fixes the clutch issues, if it doesnt im just gonna buy a fanatec for forza4
