watched it in a pub in brisbane. a thosand miles of english nails on the floor. screaming at every decision. clumps of fans chanting 'argentina' for no apparent reason - awesome stuff.

depends on what you mean by replays, if you mean highlights then idk. But if you mean watching a whole match that you missed live then TVNZ on demand has some past matches available to view.

I actually enjoyed watching the game, England running about like headless chickens, Argentina playing their hearts out. Hard hitting gutsy rugby.

Penalties were fairly well justified, England were just getting pummeled. They didn't seem to have any game plan and really think bringing on Flood for Wilkinson would have been a smart choice. Don't care who you are if you miss 4-5 kicks in a row and offer nothing else all game you should be off.

auckland was eerily dead last night. I have never seen a quieter Saturday night. Possibly people are put off by the predictions of bad traffic in the herald and how the city will be densely packed with people. Went to K road (dead), art gallery (empty), Fort street and queen street (dead), and Viaduct (super dead).

The police were out in 8-man foot patrol groups, and paddy wagons were driving around in threes. But the police often outnumbered the amount of people on any street.

oh well, biggest party auckland will never see.

Yep. I was at the game and the atmosphere at the new stadium was pretty awesome. Though the most entertaining part probably was the blackman streaker. Watched the earlier games at a few different pubs and was loving how everyone is going nuts for the underdog teams.

Multiple synced projectors on the field. (I got to go to the dress rehearsal and saw a lot more of the setup.) That way someone could block one projector but the others would cover their shadow. Looks like a bitch to set up and align though.

Shame that first try broke italy's back, they played 50min of a great game. There has been some pretty impressive scrums from the smaller teams.

USA seems to be coping with Ireland quite convincingly. Will be interesting to see if they can keep it up for the whole game.

Had to laugh at England's jersey - clearly rushed through production if they didn't even give it a proper durability test - some of the players you couldn't even tell what number they were, bit useless production run really.

Namibia v Fiji - have to give credit to Namibia for playing some damn smart rugby for the first 20 minutes or so with the drop goals - started to frustrate the Fijians and especially when they knew they weren't likely to be able to compete up front against the Fijian pack, it made a lot of sense to get the ball down the other end and slot drop goals time and again. Especially when they have someone with Kotze's skill - he's like a machine (a la Mehrtens and what Wilkinson should be/normally is)
