Know me.

Frustating game to watch. The AB backline didn't have the pace to finish off the line breaks. Dagg having a good game could cost us in the long run I think. I don't rate him because I think he lacks pace. Slade had a shocker in all aspects of the game. Looked like a second rate AB side to me even though they could have won.

Weepu looked pretty comfortable coming in at first five Andy Ellis seemed to do pretty well when he came on as well. I'm liking the idea of a Cowan-Ellis Carter-Weepu arrangement

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The Boks love kicking and they're good at it. They won both their World Cups with kicking. In fact, the last four World Cups have been won with kicking. If we give away lots of penalties, we lose. It's that simple. Whether we play SA, Aus, England - it doesn't matter if they don't score a try all game because they'll find opportunities to get the ball over the posts.

+1 Agreed, we need to have guys that are going to be smart at the breakdown unlike Thompsons performance or we will leak penalties.

Re the kicking thing, interesting to note is that Steyn wasnt tackled once all night..clearly not in the team for his line attack ability. Whereas we seem to do stupid kicks all night returning possession in our half...

"But you also have to remember that it was in SA at high altitude, so the first 2 (at least) were from the 50m mark.
If that same game was played here, it would have been totally different. "

No it wasn't.It was at PORT Elizabeth at the Nelson Mandela Soccer Stadium.
Unless you count being 5' above sea level as high altitude.
The Boks played badly and the ABs played worse.Disorganised and coffed up lots of ball.
