Quite amazing really. Canterbury without their all blacks were average, plenty of mistakes and Stephen Brett showed why he's still not on the All blacks radar. BOP did play well though so can't take anything away from them.

On the other hand. Wellington without their All Blacks played liked demons. Even though poor ol CM had no chance, still makes it look like the Lions don't really need their 'stars'

Dragon: Umm it's Counties and they were missing ELEVEN players that were normally in their starting 22, I think any of the top 6 teams would have dealt to them as easily as Wellington did man :P

The Bay have beaten two shield holders this year already and 3 of the big 5 provinces. If they do make the semi finals I imagine Wellington and Canterbury will be strengthened by their all blacks again though and they'll be a no show.

Sad but true. Welly are the provincial ABs - the best team on paper that deal out the biggest hidings to weaker teams, but, the best team for choking in the games that really matter.
