I agree.
A few flashes of brilliance from the Chiefs won't be enough though I don't think. They can't plug the 'conceeding a try' leak and the Crusaders will exploit them. SURELY the Canes run of luck can't carry on for another week can it?? Seriously! The Stormers are playing 10x better than the Bulls and I'm more confident of a Top 4 spot for them than the Canes, surely the Canes MUST lose this time.

bah
Had chiefs head to head on my multi and thought I was the man.
Went to a movie to see my Force Head 2 Head completely fail. WTF happened there When chiefs hit their straps they are very hard to beat. Remember the streak they had season, where they had a miserable set of defeats in SA only to string together a late surge for the semi's. This year's surge isn't too late, I'm going to check their semi final odds and perhaps pay a visit to the TAB on it Reds, Force, Lions & Sharks left. I can see them beating all. Stormers are though if they beat the canes tonight. Last edited by buckies : 19th April 2008 at 12:17. |

Stupid Force ruined my multi. Can't believe Chiefs have won their last 4 games by 13+ and I've picked against them every time and they're my team!! what a dick!
My Stormers to make the top 4 bet is looking VERY good! Dragoon go bye bye and I'm on top of the table again

My heart said "GO THE CHIEFS" but my brain said "against an undefeated Crusaders team full of All Blacks? yeah right" and my fingers said "ok brain, you're the boss, submitting picks now".

It has to be said, the Chiefs have come a bloody long way since round 5, they were absolute mud in the opening weeks.

33 Points this week. Got all the games but only 1 margin. :/
The site is being really stupid today tho. |

I think at least 50% of the participants in virtual got all the games right since all the favourites won for the round.
I took a punt on the Cheetahs, the Hurricanes defense was inpenetrable and the Cheetahs were caught napping every time the Canes got a turnover or intercept. I'm concerned for the Canes lack of ability to 'create' tries though, against a team that doesn't throw loose passes, it's always tough for them to score points, e.g. Stormers. I got 1st Try Scorer Richie McCaw this week very happy $5 = Return $125.

three big games to call this week
Hurricanes vs Force. Backing Canes but 12- or 13+. 12- methinks. TAB overwhelmingly backs the Canes H2H & 13+ for the margin. I hate it how they distort odds for NZ teams like this
Brumbies vs Bulls. Have bulls finally hit some late form? Both teams out of playoffs and playing for pride. Home adv makes me think Bulls 12-. Stormers vs Tahs. Both teams have to win to make semi's. One of these teams will end their season based on this outcome. Home adv again makes me think Stormers 12-. However, perhaps the Tahs have adjusted to South Africa better for this week...... A great week for TAB odds on these games if one picks the margins right. |

Dragoon owns HARD, you'll need a respectable score this week to secure the win, good luck! I'm COMPLETELY out of the running, what a disastrous few weeks for me.
Stupid Crusaders ruined two of my Multi's, EVERYTHING else came through. If I had a penny for EVERY time the most likely option in my multi was the one thing that didn't come through man........ Crusaders half and full time (how did they let those early 2 tries in so easily?!) and Crusaders 13+ in the other, gaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!

Yeap do or die this week. And Ive struggled to make my picks this week. The Blues/Canes game can swing either way and the Reds/Tahs game is another one :/
Guess we'll find out on Sunday how it all goes tho |
15th May 2008, 14:06 | #105 |

Red's won't beat the Tah's
Blues/Canes is very tough though.
|

GAH! Cheered for the Blues all the way through the game tonight, only to find out I'd muffed my picks and selected the Canes.
With this I feel I've lost the lead and probably the comp. |

Those drop goals at the end and the drawn out finish were like torture! I'm glad I switched during the afternoon from the Canes to the Blues

Semi-finals:
Crusaders vs Hurricanes in CHCH Waratahs vs Sharks in Sydney |

I would have been happier with a Crusaders vs anyone but the hurricanes. Especially the form the Crusaders are in at the moment :/
Good job to Dave Rob? on taking the lead back this week too. |

Thanks
The semifinals could be a bit tricky to pick... The Crusaders will probably come through seeing it's crunch time. Australian teams always rise to the big games but the Sharks have a tendency to pull one out of the bag also! |

Sharks haven't travelled well this season, Waratahs will smoke them.
Crusaders have looked pretty flat the last few weeks, Carter may lift them enough to beat the Canes.
