Software or script to manipulate a webpage?

So at my job I have to pull data one by one out of a web application. Is there a way to manipulate it with a script and then export that info into a csv or excel file?

by out of a web application, do you mean a database?
what languages do you have at your disposal?
a simple php script doing a mysql_query and looping on the result, using fputcsv to write to a file would do the trick.

You could use any number of DOM browser apps to parse the file.

crocos: I'll look into it

Vrtigo: Unfortunately I don't have access to the database itself, this program is just a web front end for the system. Basically I wouldnt mind a script that said something like this:

go to webpage <blah>

click on search

for each record listed, click on rma tab, select serial number and ship date, and then export to file,

next record

I dont know if thats possible?
