Situation still stinks. Has anyone heard anything that makes this stink less?

JLR gets butthurt that he didn't get what he wanted out of supporting Bridges' leadership bid.
Decides to start secretly recording his colleague(s) order to bring them down (or at least just Bridges).
All the while he's doing the dirty on his wife, multiple times, using his power and position to get intel from these women on his National party rivals.
Everything blows up in his face.

Karma is swift and brutal.

Mental health isn't the issue here. It's the shabby political system and the scummy people it attracts (across the board).

I feel that kind of got skipped over.

It's shit that goes on all the time, everywhere. It only really matters when there are political points to be gained, or there some aspect to the circumstances that will get the public all atwitter, that the media think will generate a few more clicks than some other story.
