iiiiinteresting. I would have thought that with such a long exposure, you'd get the light streams waving all over the place

Cool effects and creative - especially the focus/attention drawn to 'mind the gap'; but a little 'over-processed' for my personal tastes. And now I can't get that stupid 'mind the gap' voice out of my head...

Rince - nice shots. The bottom works well at the cropping ratio. The sparklers one is cool, but perhaps could use some of the black-space cropped out? If you have enough resolution I'd almost be keen to see what a larger version would look like closely cropped to the light effect on the left, maybe a panoramic crop just as wide and high as it is...

in the above i was shooting a heritage building on a street corner and using the reflections in the windows and the mirror on the dresser to build up the layers. in the shot with the frame there's the colonial/victorian interior, the suburban street outside, and the faint mountain and treeline in the background is part of the painting itself. so there's 3 periods overlapping in the one shot... i thought it was interesting anyhow.

teehee...

Rince: Use DropBox (but don't put it in the Pictures folder as it makes the resolution is facebook-like - create a seperate folder under the "public" one)

SV: Even the dog is bored with him! On the others, it's an interesting technique, especially the first shot.

Do you have a CPL filter for your lens? That'd be an easy way to mostly eliminate the reflection if you want to get more detail internally.

Hopefully this is more of a photographers question than a camera one.

Whats the best/easiest/quickest way to get a watermark on every picture in a lightroom export?

There's a small totally uncustomisable copyright option in LR 2.1, but it doesnt allow for graphic watermarks.

I've seen some people do post process actions to open up Photoshop and perform an automated action that's prerecorded earlier, but that seems like an awful lot of work.

Cool

here's a 1024 x whatever image (I went with the flickr account idea).....
(original image is 3008x2008 & this crop was 1801x553, but flickr forced it to the 1024 x whatever )

is that the sort of thing you had in mind?

Yeah, I think it's more how I would crop it; but it's a shame it's not quite as 'crisp' as it could be at that res. I've actually realised that I saw the original version above on my work CRT, which is clearly so badly calibrated that I didn't even realise there was a silhouetted figure and blue sky which I now see on my home LCD (my work monitor is way too dark).

Interesting to have a play with various crops though. Sometimes you get a very different image to the original.

That's Prague, isn't it? Lucky bugger - I've been there twice but utterly love it. A photography fan's dream location. I have a few shots I like of it (most from when I had a 3.2 megapixel Canon S1-IS unfortunately), but they don't do the place justice like yours do. Very nice work.

Is the middle shot from the Petrin Tower?

Yep, will have to sort through the photos I took last night and see if there's anything decent.

Full moon + really low in the sky = awesome.

I presume you all have one of these: http://www.the-digital-picture.com/R...r-Review.aspx?

Awesome - and there are cheaper 'rip-off' brand versions available from the likes of WPS. Not 'cleaning' per se, but I've used my one several times to cure dust specks.
