Because I don't scour the newspapers looking for mistakes. I just comment on them when I come across them. Nice try at a razz, though. More effort next time, okay?

I'm surprised dairy's make any money out of selling alcohol anyway, there surely cant be many people that buy it, they put such a massive mark up on it.

Some of our local dairys actually tend to retail wine cheaper than we can get it at the supermarket - sometimes a couple of dollars difference even. Plus some of the Indian dairy owners bring in some of their locals beers and promote them to customers - and tend to be pretty good with the pricing too boot.

Hadn't actually checked that - had just assumed that the supermarket would be cheaper.

Yeah I was actually quite surprised - obviously they don't have the same range but our locals seem to actually be pretty on the ball with pricing - and they're willing to get stuff in if you ask for it too!

box of 15 Steinlager is $18 at a dairy down the road

it's $20 at the Local Liquor and $22 at the wholesalers.

fuck knows how that works.

It's closer to you, you don't have to travel as far, therefore it's cheaper.

Obviously

Obviously
dairy is about 5kms travel. local liquor is maybe 1km and the wholesaler is maybe 1km(in the other direction) and the wholesaler supplies the local liquor

but yeah. still boggles my mind how some shady indian can be $2-$4 cheaper than the other two

Wholesalers don't like dealing with Joe Public: Not an actual wholesale customer? Get raped in the arse.

Dairy puts less mark-up on high volume alcohols, as punters can often be enticed into buying other high mark-up items at the same time.

Liquor retailer makes ALL it's money through alcohol and related, therefore you're more likely to come in for JUST the beer, hence higher mark-up.

What you'd expect. Wholegrain bread is better and though butter has lots of unsaturated fat it has a fair bit of nutritional value. Check 'table spreads' for trans fat content.

Most 'spreads' have less that 1 gram trans fat, with 2 with 4-6 grams.

I've seen him swim in the bodysuit, but the second he is out of the pool he pulls it down to his waist. And for that I am thankful. Best body ever.
