This morning I was thinking about the moneyswap DrTitus and I did to help his friend out the other day, and remembering what it was like to move money between AU and NZ banks only a few years ago. The time and expense of having to talk to a bank manager and order a telegraphic transfer and getting reamed in fees and it taking days if not weeks.

And now it's just "here's my address" "sent" "yeah got it" directly from person to person, with no bank middleman, for free. I just had a moment of realising how amazing that is.

If I understand this correctly, PayPal will:

*Sell you crypto from their own private stash.
*Allow you to convert the crypto back into fiat to make a purchase.
*Pay the vendor in fiat.
*Clip the ticket and tack on conversion fees at every opportunity.

PayPal won't:

*Give you your private keys.
*Let you transfer crypto into or out of your PayPal wallet. You can only buy from them or sell to them at their rates.
