Think I already know the answer to this, but if someone gets a fine (from the council) for not having car registration, then they sell the car, is the new owner now responsible for the fine?

And whether there are any fines outstanding on a car is public information I believe?

Finally, if a person gets a speeding ticket (after being stopped by a cop) and leaves the country without paying, does this have any impact on the vehicle itself or is it tied exclusively to the speeder (i.e., will they come and take the car away?) I just looked on www.fines.govt.nz and quite surprised to find out they can stop you leaving the country if you have unpaid fines, haha. I iknow someone who's going to be quite pissed off to find that out

Fines outstanding on the car? All fines are liable to the registered owner of the vehicle at the time of the fine.

i'm sure if you can provide proof that you weren't the owner of the car at the time you can get it cleared.

same as someone getting snapped by a speed camera in your car when you weren't driving it.

Dried pork rinds can be found at most Asian super markets, pretty sure there's one across the road from New World at the top of Courtney Place (mr something or rather, there was one there last time I visited, 'bout 2 or 3 years ago).

Rocket, AFAIK the content directories/files should be 755/644. Ownership is more likely to cause issues than permissions with a CMS in my experience.

Quite a lot. I would go in there for lunch and spend about 10 quid easy and that was on like a sandwich and maybe a muesli bar.

Watched it at teh weekend. It's pretty cool actually and there are some serious lol moments. Considering it's all based on a true story.

I've heard it said that a lot of other organisations won't do this, not because they don't want to give, but because they're afraid of lawsuits from feeding a homeless guy a prawn sandwich that's gone off and killing him.
