‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2 Casts Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano

For me, this is exciting.

Ahsoka was kicking ass and taking names in the Clone Wars that saw Mando orphaned as a young kid, so she's no spring chicken.

Just finished Locke and Key.

After the first episode, I agreed with Lightspeed that it was all tropes and idiot plot, but knowing that it was based on a graphic novel, I took a look at the overall plot synopsis (of the graphic novel) and it intrigued me as to how they'd pull it off for Netflix. End up watching the rest of the season over the source of the last week, and really quite enjoyed it.

Picard went well I thought. Very contemporary, with its mix of strength and vulnerability, keeping it messy, staying away from ideals. As best it could at least.

Altered Carbon was a good time, I thought Poe stole the show.

Westworld Season 3 just started. Episode 1 was compelling.

For some reason, I find myself purposely resisting watching Tiger King. I don't know why? I just don't want to watch it.

You've got time on your hands, watch Ghost Wars. It's underrated, got cancelled after one season, but it makes for an ominous ending.

Avenue 5. Sci fi satire where the ultra wealthy take cruises around the solar system. Journey gets knocked years off course when the biggest yoga class ever in space slams against the walls when the gravity drive fails. Existential hilarity ensues

DEVS. Silicon valley tech giant secret project and only the top tier nerds can join the team. Black mirror meets ex machina

Tried Avenue 5. I'm a huge fan of Hugh Laurie but trying to put him in an American laugh-track-less goofy comedy like 30 Rock or Better off Ted (Which are both fantastic), isn't really working for me. Feels like it's trying too hard.

Yes admittedly first episode everyone is finding their character, but after that it gets dark as the curtain is pulled back and everyone knows their fate, but the cheerful digital signage keeps playing through the ship.

It's the same writer as The Thick of it and Veep, Amando Ianucci. Now that I think of it, his style does feel like "trying too hard" for pretty much everything he's done.

Ditto, watched only because Hugh was in it and did not get through the first episode.

What we do in the shadows is back. If the whole season was released all at once like on Netflix, I'd have binge watched it all by now. Taika is too good!

I have to check American Pickle when it's out. The premise (1920s US immigrant [Seth Rogan] is pickled for 100 years and revives unaged, to meet his grandson [Seth Rogan]) sounds the kind of absurd I go for. And you can't go wrong with Seth Rogan.

How the fuck has no one recommended Harley Quinn to me until now.

I know I initially dismissed it as the studio jumping onto the Margot Robbie HQ bandwagon as a cash grab, but this series is so much more than that.

If you're not sure what to expect, this sets the tone instantly.

Fleabag (Prime)

Started watching it just to see what all the fuss was about, first couple of episodes were interesting but I didn't really get it, then I got it, then I fell in love with it, then it ended.

Crikey - It took me until seeing his name in the credits to work out who Jim the Vampire was last week. And then upon a second watching, the cloaked and hooded figure entering sounding like a DC villain made perfect sense:
