it's an award show for the record industry to suck it's own cock while the world watches. Kanye's "stunt" was probably written into the script. Kanye has no one to protest to anyway, and he knows it. the record industry pimps the celebrities, pimps the product, pimps the award shows, and then gives out trophies to it's high-earning whores.

there is no popular vote, or panel of judges. The awards mean nothing. And if the award show went by WITHOUT apparent controversy, then what's the point of watching a bunch of employees get their "Great Work!" gold stickers.

So I mentioned in GMG that an aunt of Acid was terminal with cancer. She died on Friday, days after telling immediate family that she had cancer. Turns out that she'd had breast cancer for years but had made her sons and husband keep it secret, which is a huge ask of your family, and not fair either imo but hey, it wasn't my choice to make.

It certainly was interesting participating (for the first time) in the rites and ceremonies surrounding a Lao Buddhist funeral. They have a completely different approach to death than what I'm used to (Christian), some of which is shocking, some which is really nice. Anyway, the death of a 48 year old to cancer just isn't right. Not right.
