I think the first 10 minutes or so was some of the best comedy I have seen in a movie. After that though the movie couldn't really be classed as comedy, more Once Were Warriors meets Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (East Cape?).

The classroom at the start was a complete crackup "fuckup" "no you fuckup!" <teacher> "both of yous fuckup!".

A quick rundown of some fun flicks of late

The Final Highschool Revenge Flick

Triangle Excellent thriller from the always entertaining Christopher Smith (Creep, Severance). Similar to Timecrimes.

House of the Devil 80's homage video nasty. Best film yet from Ti West.

Afro Samurai Resurrection Sammie Jackson returns as the ass kicking nigga wit a sword

Sauna Excellent moody Finnish film. Its got mood and dread that most horror flick would kill to emulate. Highly recommended.

Right at your Door Nice micro budget tension piece.

and

Pontypool (recently rewatched the blu-ray still AWESOME!!!!!) Seriously find this film. Its brilliant.

Huh?

Never heard of this until someone at work recommended it on Friday.

Very, very cheesy and not a huge amount in the way of a script to keep you entertained but the fight scenes are really good.

I think i've hammered enough on this point; if you enjoy watching a good movie, don't watch The Hurt Locker.
Hurt Locker was a fucking excellent movie. Bad acting? Were you drunk or something?

The Road is a pretty good post-apocalyptic/dystopian film.

Pretty harsh, but fascinating...

Watch this clip of Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glen Ross.

Couldn't believe I've never heard of this film before so I watched the movie last night. Great film with awesome performances by Spacey, Pacino, Lemmon, Harris, Arkin and Baldwin.

Just saw this on a whim: Exam. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1258197/

Definitely worth a watch if you have some spare time and like vaguely thriller type movies.

Don't read IMDB comments beforehand.

8 candidates make it to the last stage of recruitment and have to sit an exam that soon turns out to be perplexing

I reluctantly watched a Renee Zellweger movie tonight (whom I find incredibly annoying). Actually enjoyed it and it was nothing like I kind of assumed it would be, without having any details about the storyline or genre.. Case 39.

It was pretty good, except I realised what the twist probably was and spent most of the movie hoping that wouldn't be it. Though I did go back and rewatch the Invigilator's speech when they made such a big point about how what he said was the key (and that made sense, since the room was pretty much 'neutral', and wasn't going to give away clues), and I wouldn't have remembered the key line otherwise. Still, pretty good. Quite a lot of exposition at the end about the disease though, I felt that level of detail was unnecessary in a movie that was essentially nothing to do with the virus.

Thanks for the recommendation

I loved it, but Russell Brand(who I've been a huge fan of in the past) is JUST like Ricky Gervais in that he has absolutely no range(acting) and can only play himself.

I enjoyed everything about that movie, except Russell.
