the new paknsave fuel pumps. ok, not so much the pumps* but the people that use them. instead of driving forward to the last pump, idiots decide to take the first, rendering half of the pumps unusable. at least the hoses are long enough so i can park at a pump on the wrong side of the car instead of waiting for a correct lane

So I called them and asked them what was going on. They said they'd dispatch the other books ASAP to me and refund the express delivery charge. And they'll send out the other book when they receive it in stock for free

After pointing out that yes I was fucking there and NO the bell isn't broken he admitted he didn't have the package, left it back at the depot and it would be ME who had to troop down there to get it.

Called him a useless piece of shit and he had the nerve to tell me that "I have the right to work in an environment without aggression, you can't talk to me like that!" and then scampered off before I fucking killed him.

bank fees! effing deposit bank fees! i can understand charging for manual withdrawals, but manual deposits? wtf is with that.

so i put some money into my partners account coz she needed it, and i figured since i didn't have access to online banking the easiest way is to take money from an atm and go into a branch to deposit it.

today, i find out that she's been charged $3 for the transaction. wonder why the teller didn't tell me when i did it. then i had an epiphany... i called up the banks csr and asked to confirm the fees. then i politely mentioned that if i truly really hated someone, i could depost 10c and repeated the transaction ad infinitum. essentially since there is nothing stopping me from depositing money, that person will lose $2.90 every time and won't know it until the banking month rolls round.

the csr stuttered, had a chat with a manager and said they can reverse the transactions if investigations proved that fraudalent reasons were in play. isn't that effing ridiculous that banks are reactive rather than proactive despite knowing a loophole exists?

What should a bank do? Should the cashier advice that depositing less than $3 is pointless, because the fees will be more than the deposit, maybe even refuse to accept deposits of less than $3? C'mon that would be WAAAAY to sensible.

So what bank was it and what sort of account - $3 to deposit some cash seems a bit much. Maybe a change of banks is in order?

The removal of the "Up one directory" keyboard shortcut in Vista.

Since the days of FileManager we've been able to hit the backspace button and go up one directory. But NOOO.... In Vista the backspace button has to trigger the "Back" functionality. FUCK YOOOOO TOOO MICROSOFT!!!!!!!!
