Oh dear. Not even the 'dragged along by the wife call' diminishes my disappointment at hearing that you two attended that movie.

I should upload the bruise on my forehead that will surface, as a result of me smacking my head on the table promptly after reading those posts.

I'm an old man, mate.. nearing 30, I'm bound to start liking those kinds of whistful "In my youth" type movies.

Is it game over that early these days? All I can do is continue to pray for a World War and a youthful death in battle.

So... what did everyone think of Sherlock Holmes? I know I should've had a coffee before hand, as it was quite early after a very heavy weeks work, but I didn't. Avatar is quite a bit longer, but seemed half the length. Sherlock holmes definitely had a SLOW PACE.

Anyone else agree?

edit: Perhaps I was just tired

The whole 'exploring the architecture of the mind' thing reminds me of The Cell. Hope Inception turns out better than that.

The jury declares Di Caprio guilty - prosecution wins this case. Not the worst movie ever, but pretty damn close.

Pretty poor case. Should we write off all of James Cameron's work too?

Reminds me a little of Blade Runner and Rutger Hauer's Roy. Oh, let's create this ultimate soldier/killing machine ... but let's make him an old man 'cause that's efficient.

Just finished watching this and I thought it was pretty awesome eh, surprisingly. Violent as fuck, fight choreography is awesome and you HAVE TO APPRECIATE that these cunts are in their 50s. Dolph got ripped off imo, he's only in for about 20mins and there was no comedy from him, unlike the first one.

For a B grade movie that's an A+ all the way!!!

edit: there isn't a white man in the world that can pull off those kicks, fuck Chuck Norris.

edit2: there's heaps of vague similarities to the first film(diner incident, etc), but I guess not everyone is a fiend like I am when it comes to Van Damme.

8.7/10 - admittedly with fuck all votes.

Rated R for pervasive strong brutal violence and some language.

I like the idea of Arlovski as a silent fucking ruthless killer in movies, he played the part well. The only thing I didn't like was how they gave Dolph such kick ass lines and then disposed of him so easily, it's like he had no real part in the film except to just be there.

Having watched JCVD (the film), I keep hoping we'll see him play a role that capitalises on what he did in that film, this was a return to old.

edit: true, I just remembered I'm only 5 or so episodes into the latest Stargate series, I'm gonna continue with that shit first. Whoa, I didn't even realise it was 11pm. I worked a 10hour day, had dinner, talked some shit on nzgames and BANG, time for bed.

I've just finished watching The Time Traveler's Wife. Easy 7.5 out of 10 imo(I haven't yet checked IMDb). I've always been a fan of Eric Bana, I feel he's made excellent decisions regarding the roles he's decided to play, despite getting completely ripped off for The Hulk(heh).

I could recommend this movie to anyway, it's well directed/produced. I have average feelings for Rachel McAdams however. An unknown could've filled her role nicely, Eric Bana IS the film, despite it's name.

edit: If like him as an actor/person and you're into cars/racing, check out Love The Beast. It's a Documentary about him and his Falcon that he's owned since he was 16 or so.. truly excellent. He was a comedian before he was an actor, so he's brilliant with idle time.

No, while the movie while nauseating it was not bad, his performance however was awful.

I find him very hard to watch in most movies he's just very lucky that scorase casts him in a lead role of nearly every movie he makes. I think dicaprio's track record is more an endorsement on scorsase then leo's acting.

Helious: I saw Sherlock Holmes the other day and agree, I was really looking forward to it after seeing the trailer a few months ago but found it to be slow and pretty average tbh. Although to be fair it's pretty hard coming on after avatar

Also if anyone is looking for a sunday afternoon watch Pandorum is not bad http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1188729/

I'll check out Pandorum too, I've had it a while now but I have fuck all time to watch things atm, cheers!

Best Movie this year is a bit of a stretch, but it is damn good nevertheless.

I watched Lesbian Vampire Killers last night. For an R16 tag I was saddened to find not even one set of tits out on display. For that it gets two thumbs down.

Definitely a stretch, it's a solid 8/10. Probably in my top 30 for the year.
