Fuck that.

I looked but there were no NZ kiwifruit at all, not even the overpriced zespri gold ones.

People want a seasonal product 365 days a year, so inevitably, you're going to find "kiwi staples" that have been imported.

Plus, as someone said, our good fruit gets exported. Apparently.

If you want local-grown, go to farmers markets. But you'll only get in-season fruit.

In other fruit news, Omegas are apparently nearly gone. Eat them while you can! (apparently the season is so short because fuck all growers can be bothered with Plums, as they are a labor intensive fruit to grow and pick, for the return you get)

This grinds my gears! Every year I look forward to buying and eating many kgs of Omega Plums. I think I have only had 5kg this year - that is only 2 evenings of eating!

Sky TV GMG at the moment.

I've run a personal homebrew PVR based on MythTV for over 6 years now, but Sky TV have issued takedown notices on just about every site that you could get good TV listings feeds from in XML format to populate the listings.

Most (all?) of the NZ listing sites are now off the air due to threats of legal action from Sky, and of course you can't buy an XML listings feed from Sky either (although it used to be freely available from their website in the past).

I can only conclude this is to try and force people to consider switching from homebrew PVRs to MySky HDI. Well I'm sorry, I don't want a PVR which I can't watch over the network, can't put TV on my laptop / phone to watch when away from home, can't stream over the internet from wherever I like, can't have the storage upgraded and (mainly) where someone else can decide how long stuff I've recorded can stay on the box. I mean I'm paying them over $100 a month already for channels and 2 decoders, surely I should be allowed a listings feed ?
