Just in case you were worried that the insane heat would have the people of Adelaide forsake their friends and break all bonds of fellowship, yesterday was not that day... as the Red Lion pub set an example of civilisation and declared beer on the house the moment the mercury hit 45.

Sorry to break the heat-wave gear grinding (seriously I dissolve at anything over 24) but Vodafone can go fuck themselves and preferably die in a fire. Every. Single. One. Of. Them.

"How do i fix a headache" is the "How long is a piece of string" of the medical world.

Amitriptyline will be great if it's nerve related pain, but not so much if it's any other number of issues contributing to the pain.

Taking anything else for it?

Aah, FlyBuys, such a rip-off

Out of curiosity I logged on to see what my MASSIVE 421 points can get me.

"Tuscany" 82L Bar Freezer:
FlyBuys: 421 points + $406.58
Save Barn: $346.50

$60 more plus "FlyBuys Points". Yeaaaaaah-nah.

Remember Kiddies: YOU are the product

On the other hand, they were amazing a few weeks ago, when they had a canon point & shoot camera on there, on special, from 2400 points down to 200.

Common sense would tell me that they missed a 0 there, and it should have been 2400 down to 2000.

All I saw was "1x Canon camera ready for pick up from nearest Noel Leemings store"

Broken bones hurt 🤕

Jumped out of our raised gardens to clear a wayward pumpkin vine resulting in three loud cracks from my ankle after landing awkwardly on one foot in jandles.

Somehow got to my back door where I put myself on the ground in pain and lightheadedness. A+E waiting room ... well let’s just say the lack of modesty there is mutual I guess.

So now I have a cast and X-ray print showing a break at the end of my fibula where it meets the foot. Waiting for the return of my wife with the drugs as the pain level is slowly returning

This cast feels like it weighs 10 x it’s actual weight and the smallest of movement seems to require effort from every every muscle and bone, broken or not, to adjust its position.

And I need to take a piss.

My wife is great.

I know, right?

What I wonder is, are the people are the Indian space agency dumb? I doubt it. So what's this need to demonstrate the ability to destroy satellites? Are we expecting this to be a necessary technology sometime soon?

Job interviews grind my gears. Had my first formal interview on the interviewee-side of the desk since May 2000.

Also grinding my gears: Not having a job.

Hmm... I think I'll put up with the interviews

I feel ya. The first interview is okay. It's the second or third and then not getting the job that screws me up. I end up agonising over what I messed up, of course not having any idea. Finding IT work is definitely about networking and all my connections have lapsed.

Although I'm not so fussed about not having a significant income, soothes my conscience somewhat. It's more not making the most of my potential that stings.
