I took a cursory examination of the prices of books on offer at Mightyape (what a fucking lame name) and most of the items that I might have an interest in could be obtained at a 10 - 15% cheaper price (minimum) at Fishpond. In terms of the more esoteric and "intellectual" books that neither place would hold stock for, MA fared even worse. Hands up those of you who are surprised! No one? Thought so. As proprietors of an online store, these idiots at MA would surely know that people of a reasonable level of intelligence are easily able to work out who has the cheapest price and just go there. And I haven't even mentioned the 25 - 40% discount coupons that Borders dish out almost routinely every Friday via their e-mail newletters. I am sure most people can wait a few days to get a book. GPstore used to be quite good when they were able to offer games at a 10 - 15% discount compared to the traditional stores. For the last year or so, however, their prices were often the same as or sometimes even more expensive than the traditional stores. For someone that lives in Auckland, it takes me another 2 minutes of walk to pick up a game after picking up my lunch. That essentially meant that unless GPstore was genuinely cheaper, I couldn't be fucked dealing with them. Now with a homepage that looks busy as hell, happens to be way overloaded by images, and a focus on trying to dabble in every corner of the market, my days as a GP... Mightyape (typing this makes my eyes bleed) customer are surely over. |

That fat Tongan boy can take a damn punch. Leopai just knocked out Azzoui who was good enough to go to Russia to challenge for a belt, and he can't knock this big bastard out.
It's a shame the Tongan doesn't have some power, he'd be great fun. Edit - Jesus, ok, so Leopai can knock anything out if he lands. What a combination - great handspeed for a big boy. |

I don't see Cameron winning this.
Don't listen to the commentators, they're over zealous, most of the shots they called land for Cameron are hitting the gloves and won't be scored. So far, Smith has landed the better shots and that's dangerous for a guy like Cameron who tires late and has cut problems. He could go early. |
27th September 2008, 22:19 | #3458 |
|
Cameron coming back there - about the only one that he landed clean, those inside left hooks were picture damn perfect. Before that, he was getting beaten rather easily in my scorecard.
Only problem is he continued throwing wide angles, rather than just keeping it straight and down the pipeline when he had him hurt. |

I got a bass guitar yesterday, although I had never played bass in my life... I had an electric guitar once, but never really got into it - this (although seemingly the same) is much different
Fuck it's cool! Figured out a few grooves already, and been following along to some CDs that came with a book. I'll definitely be sticking with it! But for now kids, it's off to Twisted? FIERCE FIERCE, GETCHOR EARDRUMS... PIERCED

anyone walked mt arthur/lodestone before?
i see that the various govt websites list the tracks as 2 days. the carpark (4wd access only*) - mount arthur hut - flora hut - carpark loop can be done within half a day**. * lol at the poor woman we came across trying to do a u-turn on the road access which is signed as 4wd in some obviously not 4wd vehicle. she was only a hundy meters away from the carpark, too. one could get there in a front-wd vehicle so long as the conditions were nice and dry, you have good brakes, tread etc. **assuming you're not an idiot. just wonder how long the little stone monument has been at the peak that looks out to mt arthur, east along the track from the arthur hut. track shows on google earth, eventually and at certain zooms. monument does not.

Smith hasn't faced "the best boxers" from America - he faced gatekeepers, the guys who get beat by the best boxers from America and he lost to them. It's a good win for Cameron in terms of staying busy and beating someone who has fought some credible opponents but the moment he steps up, unless he learns how to keep that right hand tucked and his chin down, he's going to be blitzed.
