Took a while to get going. I think it highlights that unless we perform we could be knocked out at any of the finals games. Also, Sonny Bill Williams.

I think I might go put $20 on SA winning the World Cup.
1 - The odds probably just got better 2 - This might be that "wake up call" that will now motivate them all the way through. |

I couldn't write the Saffas off in this comp. On the one hand, they've been beaten by Japan and, last month, by Argentina. Are they playing shit or are they perhaps distracted by the recent race politics? On the other hand, maybe it's just a couple of blips. Schalk Burger says they're going to treat their game against Samoa as a final. That game will be telling, I think. Keep in mind that Samoa provided a decent challenge for NZ recently. Can they play with the same amount of pride as they did on home soil? I'd like to think that Samoa has come up with the sort of self-belief that they can potentially beat SA.

The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that the ABs will face the French in the quarters at Cardiff.

I dunno, I still remember "4 more years boys, 4 more years". If Australia didn't even make it past the pool rounds I wouldn't be all that upset.

I'm not sure the yellow card was warranted, but still... suck it!

Nigel Owens was in fine form in the previous game.. Said to a Scot who'd just flopped "If you're going to fall down like that you can go away and come back and play in two weeks" (when the ground is due to host a soccer match).
