Sad fact....if someone is in a mobility scooter in america it doesn't always mean they are disabled. At disneyland the biggest queue was the one at the place where you hired scooters. You had to be overweight to do it. So all the fat beasts were riding these things around disneyland. They were perfectly fine to walk, just fucking lazy. One rammed into my daughter who was then 7, she got an earful. Thing that fucked me off the most was that they would toot for you to move. They seriously have no shame.

One thing I've noticed is my hot water bill has increased by at least 30% despite having the same sized cyllinder as far as I can tell and having it on the same temperature.

Controlled meters suck.

The place we're renting is solid, we're in Brooklyn at the moment but with the interest rates falling and house prices falling, we're thinking of buying something out of the city on the coastline, looking at the nicer area of Titahi Bay at the moment.

And the increase isn't just due to needing heating on more often? Our electricity bill is pretty shocking, but I'll take the blame for that

Titahi Bay is pretty far out, and parts of it are still fairly rough. Have a look around though, lots of decent places getting quite cheap in some of the better parts of Porirua and Lower Hutt.
