Do you have any source for this? AFAIK Greenpeace is still strongly against nuclear. If they have done a massive U-Turn then I haven't heard about it.

A quick google search shows that Greenpeace is still campaigning against nuclear and wants all nuclear power plants gone completely. On this page: http://www.greenpeace.org/internatio...paigns/nuclear they even have a quote from Patrick Moore from 1976! Patrick Moore is no longer with Greenpeace and now is an advocate for nuclear power.

Here is a more recent piece from Patrick Moore: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...041401209.html

Greenpeace are dumb fucks, they make me laugh.
It's pretty ironic how all the original Greenpeace founders have left because it's turned to shit and stupidity

Yeah dude, it would be very awesome. I think another reason might be the local Iwi, though I think their stance might be changing. I'm sure there is a generator like this around Europe somewhere, maybe France? Surely they have some data showing that it doesn't endanger fishing? If it was underwater far enough it probably wouldn't even affect boating.

ok, i stand corrected :P greenpeace should review their stance on nuclear energy now then, as its probably one of the safer methods of energy generation we have these days.

we've stopped using heaters completely, have energy bulbs, no electric blankets, no heat pump, no clothes dryer, do cold washes, quick showers, use gas for cooking and water heating (turned lowish temp) and shut down everything and unplug it when not in use. still our power bill is 250+ for 4 people.

much lols

Oh - they are a major contributor to the Souithland economy - the jobs and the support structures play a major part - it probably would kill Invers if they move off shore - which they no doubt will do if they get mucked around.

Oh the iwi are a definate problem, they have caused massive delays in the seal extension to Cape Reinga, not to mention 10s of thousands being absolutely wasted. Had several engineers refuse to work on the project because of all the bullshit resource consents and the fact that their crew were being attacked by the local iwi. Same would apply to the wave generators.

The wave generators that have been proposed to be used in the kiapara harbour actually havn't been tested before in real life, but they are a very similiar design to the ones used in the channel between france and england. Designed for differant depths or some such. One of the main things is that we are waiting for someone else to try them first.... what happened to Kiwis being the innovators?

Crying What grinds my gears....

Chicks who have fat chunky legs and wear short skirts and short boots to flaunt them really grind my gears.

Short boots and short skirts on a chick with great pins are awesome. Short boots and short skirts on a chick with chunky legs only help to accentuate the chunkiness and prompt dudes to vomit at the sight of them.

Mind you, I also hate the guys who still pick up the chubbers when they don this attire, as that only fuels their delusion that showing off their legs in this manner is sexy.
