Oh and there are no PvP servers. Blizz has effectively killed outdoor PvP with instanced PvP and DK's. It's all about the grind.

Meh. Before DKs, playing my horde alts was impossible because all the NPCs at the crossroads would be pretty much constantly dead. It was a good change.

Stupid change.

And by that rationale it should be ok to raid the main cities right? Because it should be hard to get DK's there right? Except it isn't because there are any number of low level DK's mixed in with the high level elites.

Why not buff the NPC's around the low areas up to a level that actually requires an organised raid, rather than just making them dishonourable.

SS/TM is a good example of this. Raiding either was fun and definitely not sustainable as eventually you'd get zerged under the ground by the guards. Can't do that now, DK's.

Instead you get to grind CP for hours on end in boring AV/AB.

You're implying that world pvp began and ended with raiding southshore. What's special about attacking a town, other than killing quest NPCs and having people come off a gryphon to find themselves staring at a 'release spirit' dialog?

No I didn't. Org/IF raids happened a lot too and don't anymore. And it was fun, which is a pretty good reason

From the perspective of a PvE server where most people went specifically because they didn't want to put up with that shit it makes perfect sense. Also the impact was higher as most PvE server chars don't want to flag themselves and defend anyway whereas most PvP servers you'll get everyone pitching in.

Not saying either way it good just pointing out that Blizzard misgandled it badly and they know it. They've come up with some halfassed comments about revitalising world PvP, because they know they killed it.

I got the trinket from the Priest class quest. The other 2 items in the Priest quest are fairly weak, and weren't worth getting as a replacement for my current gear.

Starting to build up a stack of trinkets to carry around with me now

The trinket is pretty useless as an "oh fuck" button, because it still takes the regular amount of time to cast.

I'm demonology spec, so every 15 minutes I can summon *any* pet for 10% of the regular mana cost, in 0.5 seconds. Sure, it still costs a shard, but meh .. getting a shard with only the imp isn't *that* hard.

Besides - the staff looks awesome.

Oh, for sure .. it'd definately have its useful times. I dunno though .. I'd definately rather have the stamina and spell damage from the staff. The trinket would be nice if I wasn't demonology spec, but as for its use at level 60? I dunno how often I'm going to be using the voidwalker once I hit 60

the thing which made me choose the cape over the mask in the rogue quest is because it was an irreplacable item, much like the carrot reward from the ghaz'rilla quest.

I figured that i'll eventually replace my head and cloak but I can always keep the cloak in my backpack for times that I want to take less falling damage (like jumping down to MC entrance from the entrance of BRM) whereas the head would just get vendored.

the big place i think I would use the warlock trinket is in MC for the garr fight, using the shard less void walker to keep the garr add off me while I banish.

But again comment about never played past lvl 15.

I'd take the staff just because it looks so fucking phat. Undead Warlock with a Scythe ... yes plz! (the stats pretty good too). Would rather have mageblade, but the scythe would be awesome for screenshots until I get it
