Super 15

Soo....First round done and dusted.

GG the blues and Highlanders and for shame shame shame on Nonu. He is capable of some serious magic but happened to him on the weekend? Not a good start to the year.

My vote would be for SBW and Stanley tbh. The guy runs some pretty good lines and defensively is a rock.

Yeah the Highlanders pulled a Bulls on the Bulls! No match winning forward pass for the Bulls this time. Macintosh put a shocking red card offense tap out of du preez's hands yards from the try line to make it look like he knocked it on to end the game hehehe go Whopper!

Looks like Nonu isn't having a good season. SBW on the other hand, BAM!

Still wish SBW would drop the big hit no arm tackles... he was lucky to only get penalised for this morning's one.

Great footage. I'm now sold on him locking down #12 for the World Cup.

Meh on the yellow card. I never feel sympathy watching a dirty South African cop a shoulder charge given their historic tendency to issue them.

So how injured did that Bull get when he ran into the Cantab beard of awesome?

Sure I heard his face break the first time around.

Yeah I'm pretty keen on a SBW/Conrad combo in the midfield at the moment. Still need the defense and brains of Conrad if the AB's are up against it. I still remember when they put Toeava/Nonu in the midfield thinking the sheer strength and power would be effective but when it wasn't they had no ideas of what else to do, it was pretty pathetic really.

I'm at a loss with SBW. He's brilliant, but I'm not sure if he has the smarts. Mind you he's made 29 offloads in the super 15 so far, the second best offloader has only made 15. So he's definitely a 12.

I'm impressed with Adam Thomsons' performance. He'd be starting 6 in the AB's and put Kaino on after 50min. Thomson has a huge workrate.

Is it just me that thinks Quade Cooper is SO overrated? Watching last nights game against Wgtn he was hiding at wing all night on defense, and the contact he did make was woeful, half hearted tackling. Sure the guy can attack the line like no bodies business but a smart international team will run at him all night.

In fact the commentators made a point of the fact that Cooper sits out on the wing on defence :P

What is with players after they've been tackled and throwing the ball up to their team-mates?

Isn't it playing the ball?

I never thought about that. It's probably against the rules but I'd rather see the refs allow it.

nah pretty sure you're able to make one movement with the ball on the ground, either placing it out, or passing it up to another player.

If you're tackled you're supposed to release the ball...

Doesn't happen though. Don't understand. Yay. Rugby law interpretation day.

Does anyone else disagree with the conference system?

Not every team plays every other team so that's unfair then also aussie teams and SA teams to a degree get an easier ride

Thoughts?

I'm sorry Blackadder but McCaw getting pinged is a little bit of karma for the amount of illegal steals he makes in all the other games he plays.

Deal with it son.

SBW is definitely not a 13. He's purely a distributor, 12 f0 shure.

But word is that he doesn't like chch because of the quakes and that he misses his mother.

At least they finally made a semi final for the first time in 4 years, that's an achievement, Pat Lam has done well.
