I don't think this one is based off American McGee's Alice at all. The wikipedia page seems to say that Wes Craven was to have directed that one.

It's fucking trippy looking at a blade of grass in foreground, then refocusing on kitty in the middle distance, then refocusing on grass/trees/car in the distance... while looking at a youtube clip.
