Jesus. this is like the NZ election all over again, Labour reamed and the Conservatives closing in on an outright majority...

I've been telling my missus for weeks that this was going to play out like the NZ election.

Labour here are exactly the same. Too much in fighting and treating the core supporters with contempt/complacency.

When the economy is going reasonably well compared to the rest of europe people don't want to rock the boat and with Labour not being able to shake off the perception that they were some how at fault for the world financial issues during the last upheaval they were always going to struggle.

Conservatives played the SNP card really well too. Labour fell nicely into that trap and screwed themselves out of a partner.

UKIP and the LibDems were also great for the Conservatives.
