The series improves significantly after season 1. Lots more nerdy jokes, comic jokes, cliches and so on. The episode early in s2 where Brock undergoing training as a new OSI agent is excellent. Pretty much any scene where 21 and 24 get dialogue is hilarious too, even gets lampshaded when Dr Girlfriend asks the Monarch why he keeps using the same henchmen.

about 3 years ago i turned my cellphone off for 6months. that annoyed the fuck out of a lot of people.

i really started enjoying it, it was nice to be able to get off the grid. the first few weeks/month was hard, really hard. harder than giving up smoking. was a nice experiment in the end.

one day i'll move away to some secluded place with a nice beach or whatever and not have a cellphone or landline. i used to be a very social bunny, i still have my moments but for the most part people irritate me and i prefer to be alone / with the missus. people's quirks annoy me. i can't be bothered.

someone get Dr. Phil on the line, i'm fucked.

Did the same; had a 4 month job on great barrier island and no mobile signal unless you drove to a specific part of the island. gave up on doing that before long and left my cellphone in the drawer until i left. was awesome! so relaxing.

By the time Dr Girlfriend has become Dr Mrs The Monarch, the show is just going from hilarious to hilarious.

TBH I'm surprised you didn't enjoy it more, I'd have expected you to appreciate a lot of the nerd-in-jokes (referencing old cartoons and comic books etc.) that are the first season or two's stock.
