Acidity in atmosphere minimised to preindustrial levels It goes to show we can address our pollution. It's more that we're not up for it right now.

Upgraded an old 2009 Mac Mini to 8GB RAM from 2GB (4GB max, pfft) and a 240GB SSD drive to replace the clicking gramophone that it had prior.
Running El Capitan (although this is the last supported version of OS X). I could pretty much be an Apple technician after replacing MacBook screens, installing an SSD in an iMac and now this. Three successes from three attempts, no broken bits or lost functionality! Good old ifixit instructions :>

When you hear a song that you first listened to on your folk's records and the higher frequency instruments don't quite sound how you remember them.
Case in point, violins/electronica on this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3eZ4bhCyJM

Nothing to do with it being ripped from a CD to mp3 and then being uploaded to youtube and all the resulting fidelity losses due to multiple re-sampling at all.

I would rather that, than our rugby players participating in violent acts.
I can't quite work out the crime. It was a family/disabled toilet. As far as I am aware, there is no law against anyone using these. He wasn't married, so he didn't commit adultery. |

Let him (or her) who has never had sex in a locked public toilet cast the first stone.
Yeah, it's not exactly appropriate behaviour while representing your employer, but hey, two consenting adults gonna consenting adult. Of course this is just another example of the hegemonic patriarchy marginalising the disabled. Appropriating their spaces and shit. |

It's damage control. Rugby is a Family Sport and the players are Role Models and The Kids Look Up To Them. So in the wake of the so-called 'stripper scandal', rugby has to be seen as not condoning anything less than wholesome.
Otherwise Paul Henry will be cross with them.

I wonder what would have happened if the Rugby Championship had of been tight, and this game was a must win.
I bet he wouldn't have been sent home so quickly. I also heard the conspiracy theory that the couple that reported it were South Africans, so were waiting to this week to let the media know. |

The name of the Secretary of the Australian Attorney-General's office is Chris Moraitis. Every time his name appears in the news I read "Moratlis" and see his big dumb head.

Does anyone bank with westpac? What's your opinion on them, and is their internet-banking website/app any good?

The government uses Westpac, so it's probably the safest bank for depositors
It really depends on what you want from your bank - a low rate mortgage? A high rate savings account? Lower/no fees? A branch in a small town? An app on Windows phone? There's no harm in opening an account with them and testing the waters before you move all your banking to them. Savings accounts usually have no monthly fees, so chuck in $100 and see for yourself. I have accounts with 5 different banks for various reasons - however Westpac is not one of them (because who needs six banks? :P)

Minjee Lee doing really well (Blue Bay LPGA)
6 points ahead, paying 1.35 Use her in a multi or boost your balance. https://www.tab.co.nz/sport/#1959 Remember you can bet without using your own money: let your balance run low and let the TAB top you up a temporary $5 and lock it in with sure bets like NZ rugby. It's even more fun when you have nothing to lose!
