I've found Poison's server completely unplayable between the server disconnects and intermittent lag I can't dig anything which means in turn I can't make anything I'm halfway through my tree house and I can't finish it! D:

Well something (possibly the milk bath) kept crashing the server, so I've rolled back to the 8am backup of the world.

Some epic digging today, Sealab II is pretty big.

Also http://minecraft.sam.net.nz/ now has the map of our world (unfortunately you can't see below the surface). It only updates when I re-run the script currently.

How the hell do you reliably do circles? Is there some kind of trick to it or do you just need to be severely autistic?

How I would do it:
Decide the diameter of your circle
Open MS Paint, zoom in 8x
Circle-tool
shift-click-drag until you've got a circle of desired diameter
Use that as a construction guide.

Although the circle algorithm in Paint isn't awesome. For a better circle, try Paint.NET, Photoshop or similar

I think I killed the server (Sam's)...
built an epic tunnel:


and started to lay rail track thru it, and the server just suddenly lagged out

ok - restarted my own client and it seems fine... got the track laid.


my plan is to have a rail road winding its way through the map.... and Epic Tunnel is just the start!

should render quite nicely too

Apparently carts can crash servers, not sure whether tracks cause problems tho.

mine carts and tracks do indeed destroy servers for now... with anyluck the oct 31st patch should address this and a few other mp mode issues. gonna be some epic train networks setup for sure.
