At the beginning of the tournament I'm pretty sure it was accepted that we have a large pool of capable players to draw from and that's certainly how its played out so far... I reckon we're gonna own the Aussies. And once they do that, I don't think anyone can stop the All Blacks.

All Blacks World Cup hero Stephen Donald turned in a stellar display to carry his new side, Bath, to a nail-biting victory in the European Cup overnight.

Donald, who kicked the winning penalty in the All Blacks' 8-7 World Cup final win over France last month, set up both of Bath's tries and kicked two penalties in the 16-13 victory over Montpellier.

The former Waikato pivot, facing off against Montpellier's French first five-eighth Francois Trinh-Duc for the first time since the cup final, slotted over a penalty in the fifth minute.

He then created the first try with a long cut-out pass to Ollie Woodburn on the right wing.

The second try came after Donald picked up an intercept deep inside his own half then burst through the line, running nearly 80 metres before he was cut down. However, he provided quick ball to his support and David Flatman crossed soon after.

"My fitness is clearly not good. If I had been 5kgs lighter I might have got there." Donald joked afterwards.

How small is their in goal! Fuck i wouldn't want to be going balls out down the sideline only to dive over the touch line and slide into the fence. No wonder northern hemisphere teams cant run the ball
