Yeah but domestic competition doesn't count, everyone knows this. Slade's already proven himself at International level, even with his limited gametime. Slade even has the time to be a proven finals performer (the 09 final) unlike a certain Waikato 1st Five-Eighths.

Donald's like the modern day, poor man's version of Brendan Laney. Chainsaw used to carve up the NPC but never made his mark at the international (All Blacks) level.

Nice catch, dumbass.

Slade has had dick all game time at #10 because Canterbury was so adamant of playing Brett all year , who is far better suited to being an Aucklander.

What about Beauden Barrett? Heaps of hype there for sure, but from what glimmers I've seen off the bench the dude's undoubtedly talented. I am admittedly rather one-eyed when it comes to Naki rugby.

Quite a good point really. If Canterbury prefer Brett to Slade, why would the All Blacks choose Slade?

Had he have played #10 for Canterbury, he might well be Dan Carters understudy.

Donald has been pretty impressive in the NPC imo. He plays like a new man. Here's hoping he does the same for the Abs.

edit: The only thing Brendon Laney carved up was the xmas turkey ;P

Fuck me i missed Carter going off - was it just a sub ?
Either way Donald played like a fucking donkey - short kicks thru the line in our own 22, missed the kick to put the game out of reach & then missed touch with 30 seconds to go - ffs we better hope Carter doesn't get injured next year. Did anyone see Cooper run in to give Richie a slap across the back of the head after O'Connor scored & then gave him the big " get fucked " - classy guy.

I'd give him another go :P By rights we should have lost by about 15 anyway, how the fuck did the Wallabies miss so many kicks? Make up your fuckin' mind and choose one out of your 4 kickers! lol :P Serious problems there, I'd pick Cooper or O'Connor to kick everything any day dunno why they persevere with Beale and Giteau. I think Giteau's goose is cooked now too, Deans won't have anymore patience for him, bye bye.
