doppelgänger of someone

Scott McCallen must be the worst White House Press Secretary, EVER. He is as blunt as a spiked dildo when answering difficult question: "I'm not going to answer that" or "I've already answered that, so let's move on" (no you didn't you twat). He doesn't skirt the issues, or make a joke to get out of tight spots. He just stonewall.

I guess that made him perfect in one sense: the press doesn't get much answer from him, so they don't have much to write about.

Show me an example of George W having issues with analytical thought, I wasn't aware any had emmerged.

Many brilliant people have had issues with public speaking, I'm not at all suggesting Bush is a brilliant person, but he's not dumb.

I was wondering, considering GWB is not the third, simply the first GWB.

GHB preceeded him.

I liked that

I got a joke email from my sis in the USA today with a bunch of her friends email addresses on it.

I clicked "reply to all" and sent the link. Asked them to take a look because living in NZ I can't donate.

They may want to lend a hand and/or pass on the link to other friends who may want to.

It's the best I could do to support him

Slept in today

Woke up at 7:30 and the bus usually comes at 7:40.

Luckily the bus stop is just around the corner (20 second walk)

Mish raced out to the corner and as I was locking the door I could hear him yelling that the bus was coming.

Tear off down the driveway and onto the footpath and see the bus waiting at the T intersection for me with the door open.

Our bus driver rocks

^^ thats cool. i generally think bus drivers are assholes with no regard to road rules, but its nice that there are some gems out there.

that said, i just saw a fatty bus driver open his door because hes overheating or some shit, and when someone rocked up to it, he just closed the door on them.

Holy crap, when I looked at that link last night, he had less than 1500 donations. Now he's shot up to 106 away from target. Yay internet mass appeal!

Some bus drivers rock. There was one who stopped asking me for fare when I was a student, because I always had a day tripper, and he just didn't bother asking to see it. I'd just walk on, say hi, and go take a seat. I got some funny looks from other passengers, but he rocked. He'd wait for me if I was within sight of the stop too

I remember running to catch a bus and just missed it as it drove past. I knew the next stop was around the corner, and decided to run for it just incase I could make it. No chance really, but might as well.

Get around the corner and the bus driver was waiting for me at the next stop. He got out of the bus and waved me on and waited for me to run the couple hundred meters there.

I think it's like any other kind of customer service. You can have awesome people, and you can have shit people.

His problem is that while it will generate some good media coverage, he really needs those 3000 people to be from his state. I sure wish him luck though, if only because I liked the comic

Lucky for some.

I had one bus driver drive straight past me one day, so I pulled the fingers at him. Then the next day the bus pulls over and the driver asked if I was the guy that pulled the fingers at him...
That cunt must have seen me! He would have laughed too

typical auckland bus scene is the bus drives off 2 mins early and stops at lights 10 meters away. passengers arriving bang on doors begging to be let on, driver doesn't flinch (or occasionally shakes head) then drives off on green.

opshop concert at the town hall last night was fucking awesome. i dont think ill be able to go to another event at vector now, ive been spoilt by somewhere which has great acoustics

opshop are a great live act too, really got into it with the crowd, talking to people and making jokes and shit, unlike bands that just stand there and rip through their set with the occasional "THANKYOU NEW ZEELUND YOURE GREAT" crap.

Not wanting to state the obvious, no doubt this isnt the right place to post this,

Petrol .....

The price drops roughly 10% (us p/barrel).
10% of $225 = roughly 22c

So the very generous petrol companies drop the pump price 5 c ....

Anyone else notice ?

Yes and if you raise this with the petrol companies "Oh, we're dampening the amount of variance in petrol prices and recouping losses from where we didn't raise the price earlier"

But no, more so it comes down to price after refinement, refineries would still have petrol made from the more expensive oil so whilst refineries are able to purchase at the new cheaper price, they won't be able to pass those savings straight away because they have to clear old stock at the more expensive price.

Well, revert the question on yourself.

If you had a spare $15.00 - would you give it back to the person who pays you?

I would if all of a sudden I earned 10 times as much that month as I did the previous one! I might even burn a couple of 100 dollar bills for a laugh!

80 billion to them is probably worth about 15 dollars to you.

Agree, loved Baseball more though, crowd was far more condensed and into it.

Also top football stadiums in Europe and southern America have the same feel.

thats just the price of oil that dropped, not petrol...

while the oil price affects petrol prices, (and im sure that the oil companies are rubbing their hands at the prices), its not the only thing that affects the price we pay at the pumps
