Millennials only hold 3% of total US wealth, and that's a shockingly small sliver of what baby boomers had at their age

Looks like TSLA just blew its wad.
Is it normal to have +6% premarket move, shoot up another 10% intraday, then finish the day at -5% from Friday close? Quote from twitter: Quote:

I probably should have originally posted this somewhere other than the Covid thread, but headspace is a funny thing.

I'm sorry for your loss, sounds like he was a good Dad to you.
I have to say I was stumped for a moment. I thought that was a full sized coffin, until I saw the fire extinguisher and the car seat, and was just confused. But it's a coffin shaped urn, is that right?

I think we (as an extended family) had 5 birthdays during Covid lockdown - including my daughters 18th. She couldn't even shout me a beer for mine! And her school formal got postponed. Son averaged A+'s for his semester in the conservatory, but without the hands on dissections he had paid for. At least for now Mrs Stn and I both still have jobs. Was a busy time. |

Yes, absolutely.
And then there's the wrangling over just how much exploitation is required to produce our chocolate. Which contributes to the shit like what goes on in China. It's not like they're this dark smear on an otherwise pristine landscape. We're all fucking mucky. In how we treat each other at home and how we use our power abroad.

It was the same back at the beginning of last century too. Wasn't like the Nazis popped up a wolf amongst the sheep. They were a wolf amongst wolves, they just dropped the pretence.
Although I think the pretence is much more compelling now days, hence China finds itself called out, the impotence of such calls a reflection of the nature of the pretence.

Next question is how high this goes. Conservative gold bugs put us at $5,000 / oz easily... then there's Peter Schiff going for scorched earth $15,000 / oz scenario.
... I don't want to live in a $15,000 / oz world as that would mean I've learned to shoot a gun, and my house is powered by a diesel generator. |

Imagine if the kids took over? That'd be hilarious. Technology gets so complicated, only those raised in it have a truly intuitive understanding of how it works, the youngest being most adapted to current tech.

That KODK trade is fraud no matter how you cut it, but SEC are under DDOS from the amount of fraud and market manipulation going on right now so unlikely anyone will do jail time or even get fined.
Kodak went into the Bitcoin miner appliance business in 2017 too, and their stock pumped on that news too. We should thank them for giving us such a crystal clear example of why you should never invest in a narrative. Last edited by Nich : 7th August 2020 at 14:01. |
