Just finished 3rd week at new job working on decidedly old-skool Java converted from LINC (in fact a lot of it is trivial AF) after 7 months of sitting around getting fatter since finishing a contract in December

Also gearing up for running Wellycon on Labour Weekend, and if I can get the time off, maybe even helping on the logistics crüe for Kawaiicon.

- made the tree change to Yackandandah (North East Victoria)
- Got a studio apartment in Melbourne that pays its own mortgage through managed Airbnb
- I run a regional co-working office called Avenue. The town seems to really appreciate it
- and I pay the bills as an Audiovisual consultant / cad monkey for hire.

After a dozen years in various service provider and internal company engineering roles, I made the jump over to sales about six years ago, and haven't looked back.

Working as an account manager for a tier 2 service provider in Auckland that actually has a lot of links to many old school NZ gamers, but I definitely don't call myself an Aucklander.

Married up for 10 years now, with two boys turning 9 and 5 this year. Crazy.

Been at current role for almost 6 years now. Currently in the final 6 months of a multi year plan to up sticks and move the fam (wife, 3 and 5 yo boys) to Wanaka. Told the boss the other day, they're all supportive, so that's nice.
