Looks like it was a good night of cricket for the kiwis.

Pretty impressive my Neil Wagner. Not only did he bowl 6-66 in the first innings, he bowled 5-45 in the 2nd so he ended up with 11-111 |

Aussies are having a sook against Sri Lanka. They keep on "accidentally" getting in the way of the batsmen as they run.

Yeah Wagner..getting more wickets than Southee and Boult recently.
fuk Bond had them bowling faster when they were playing in Aus a few years ago,,that pace combined with swing meant they got the ball hooping round. Now they are back to the dibbly dobblers normally playing for NZ. *sigh* |

It's always tough playing India in India. The crowd is having fun at least.

yeah, a few wee highlights but Ashwin just kept ripping through us.

Yeah hoping for some positive results there.
Somehow I can't see Baz if he was still captain, letting our batting team get rolled 6 times in 3 test matches. Pretty crappy performance from the batsmen tbh. |

Woo, we're looking great! Best form in years surely, however it turns out from here.
I am loving the crowd. Jealous of any kiwis in India right now.

I disagree to that anonymous comment.
Both teams deserved it in the end, and I believe the majority of Kiwis will ultimately be ok with how the game went (Same with the English if they just lost). We would have lost on 3 of 4 potential options for tie breaks. - Number of boundaries (thats a bit of a weird one). - Higher ranking in pool play - Previous result in pool play. The one we would have won on was less wickets in the game. |

And while there's always talk about "inches" in the game of cricket.
There was really only one that should be picked, and that was the 4 over throws off that bat. That would be so extremely rare. If it didn't go for 4, they wouldn't have run (I assume). That was the 1 defining action in the game that cost us. We still may have lost, but 7 off 2 is different to 3 off 2. |

I watched the first 3 hours & the last 90mins. I dont think they could've done much different, tied after the super over it really did come down to an arbitrary decision. But yeah I suppose with no option of a second super over then the winner had to be determined somehow & that's the rules for everyone.

I'd have felt better if we lost by having another super over. Having it judged on something like boundaries scored seems really naff. If it has to be judged on a statistic, why not use wickets in hand or wickets lost or something??
|

I believe in the past it has been wickets lost. But that probably changed to promote more attacking batting.
After a tied super over for batting, they should revert to bowling like they did early in 20/20. Each person bowls one ball to hit the wickets. Penalty shootout style. |

If I were NZ Cricket, I would be talking with ICC and working a plan to get the T20 World Cup played here, with crowds.
Its not going to happen in Aus (I assume its already cancelled), so why not make plans to have it here. Get the teams in early to quarantine. Have a proper tournament. |

Bloody good work Black Caps.
And for the win to be quite comfortable in the end was so much better. although I was listening to it as I was drifting off to sleep. Heard we got them all out, then woke when we lost our 2nd wicket. After that I thought we were completely rolled. All out for not much. Woke up in the morning to see how badly we lost by and was pleasantly surprised. |

What a great game of cricket. Shame I couldn't watch it live.
Woke up and flicked on the radio just at the start of the NZ Innings. Listened till about Conway got out and fell asleep. Thought I heard we won with an over to spare but woke up later assuming that was just a dream and that we were smashed. Great work by Mitchel to carry the bat after the early wickets of Guptil and Williamson. I would love to see Guptill have another game like he did the other day. Get a big score in a final. |

Master Class by the BCs, well played by Conway and Allen! Beating Aus in Aus is nothing to take for granted so we'll take it, hopefully we can continue the momentum for the rest of the games!

I looked at the start of the game and saw it was a rain delay. Thought that would suck for SA, missing out on those points and positive NRR.
Woke up in the morning to see they played the game and lost. I bet they wished it kept raining. |

What a shit result. Yes Pakistan were ahead, but with such a big total, it would have only taken a wicket or two and they could have fallen.
But in saying that, not great bowling to let Pak in the game |
