I was gonna go dl this after reading that, then I saw it was you who posted bruce....dubious now.

Excellent!

New Sparty has so far failed to live up to his predecessor. Big boots to fill though.

Whores' Glory as a random Netflix documentary.

Seeing two Mexicans arrive at a brothel on a Donkey to spend their three dollars. Or Indian prostitutes phoning regular customers to demand that they come and fuck them right now.

Quite a surprising find really.

He's too clean cut, he seems less built than original spartacus. In fact I think he'd make a good news anchor.

Andy Whitfield all the way ;(

First thing I thought this evening was that new Sparty had actually trimmed down - doesn't look nearly as built. Crixus on the other hand looks like he's done too much weights and not enough speed work

It's awesome. I held off watching the last episodes cause, y'know, then it'd be over. But it's great. S5 ties in all sorts of stuff from the previous seasons, much of S1 sets up this season. S4 was a kind of weird merging of a whole bunch of timelines, you could almost miss it out and have S5 make sense. I thought S3 was essential for resolving the split/fused universes and explaining a number of fringe events. S5 concludes the series well I thought (as best you can with a time travel story line.) If you liked the first seasons I think you'll like the last.

For anyone who hasn't seen it and wants to watch a sci-fi that wraps up nicely, this is it. It really delves into some dark and twisted ideas in that kind of classic sci-fi way, while also being quite light and humorous. It has a few weak episodes and premises (and one weird out of order, doesn't quite fit episode), but is largely solid. John Noble is amazing.

I'm a total fanboy, so YMMV.

Banshee has already had it's renewal for a second season confirmed. So critics might not like it too much, but who gives a shit about them anyway.

Anyone else watch The Americans?

Sweet sweet 80s music. It was an interesting enough pilot I thought, could have some legs.

Missus indicated the same after seeing an episode on TV, though she did complain that it 'Wasn't even in HD!!!'

house of cards w/ kevin spacey doing a barely tolerable southern accent. still decent wee political drama though, has much promise.

best of all, the entire series was released on one day and each episode is a different length.

edit: oh no, subject to a wazza recommendation! maybe best avoided.

Watched the first episode last night, and concur that it could well have some legs. The closing scene was a good hook.

Justified current season is being all sorts of awesome.

Utopia is my new favourite show. Really recommended.

Finally got around to watching Elementary this week and am loving it! I had my concerns because I love Sherlock and thought it was going to be a bit of a rip-off, but they're very different.

Also enjoying The Following (even with Kevin Bacon's nose ) and Banshee
