hahah yes shoyu the dueling days on 1on1r were the best!

About twister and xtreme, he was pretty gud, i was about 11 years old when i started so i didnt really know the dickheads etc on the servers.

But yeah bring on d3f i wanna see everyone on there

bring the old and the new clans there too

lets get the abussive tf community back up and runing on a new game.

BloodRain 1 for me - Some teams to mind were:

Hades Orphans
Hurricanes
Happy Muffins ( gay HAHA ) ( doh - used to be in em before Hurricane)
Sky ?

crap a few more we battled with at most times 3AM for BR1 & 2 ..

Still got most of the demos from that season floating round, and of course finals between Hurricanes and Hades Orphans... damn the year??..im scared to think. BR1 throphy still sits on my PC desk and I'm 34 soon LOL

Most memorable time, always againts Hades Orphans- they played hard and fast and tactics were excellent.

I couldn't understand why anyone was compelled to play VQ. When I tried it, there was a distinct 2 second delay before my keystrokes would make me move, a whole new kind of lag. I'll admit I knew little about pings back then, and it is almost guaranteed I was sitting on 999 as was usually the case, but VQ has its own style of lag. Even in QW with a 999 ping you can still have relatively quick response times in terms of moving.

Since we are on the topic of who got who started in TF, you can blame Gib2bits for me still being a thorn in tf's ass. The map on games3 at the time was Southern Comfort.

I played 97-98 on VQ, wasn't that laggy, got about sub200-300. You must of had bad connection.

very bad... very very bad, almost constant 999 (who knows how high it really was). But the lag was more like skating on ice, when in Quakeworld it wasn't, just a delay in shooting.

umm, i might as well post something brief. i played as SpiderFly at the start, then as Wuffell after i got semi-decent. i was never much good at anything except for engineer, and like most people, i thought i was awesome! well, i was damn good with EMP grenades, and pretty decent at everything else

i was in AoD - i think it was AoD ?? when Locutus started it. my first ever clan, and i sucked majorly ... great 386 that i had then too! it didnt really handle the game hehe. i remember first playing the game on a 486 with mimimum screen size ... LOL! well, then shoyu joined in, rippy, and several others that ive either forgotten about, or arent around any more =/

TNA has got to be the most fun clan i was ever in - the original TNA that is, not the reformed TNA hehe. i liked running my own clans too, but i now look back and realise how much of a bastard i was ... too young and i kicked a few people for stupid reasons.

the game was a hell of a lot of fun for me, and it will always be a big part of my high-school years, and some of my university years. i wish there was a game around now thats as much FUN! the teamwork that is needed was great. the communication that you needed to win, that was awesome. the feeling when you won against a clan that you have after a great game ... well, i dont think i will ever feel like that with any team game ever again. TF rocked. its a real pity the cheating and the politics killed the game =/

and for anyone reading this, i never did cheat. adun, silva, blam ... that whole episode completely killed a competition that was running nicely, and led to me not enjoying the game much. but oh well, thats life. i hope everyone has leared more since their TF days, and doesnt judge people so harshly based solely on frikken IP addresses.

Good to see some old school NZTF players names here, hope your all keeping well.

In 2003 I sold everything I owned and headed to Sydney. Money soon ran out and I found myself seing the worst Sydney could offer. My luck soon changed within a week the Penrith Panthers had won the grand final. I had found work and found my own place in a great area of Sydney. Sometimes things are just meant to be I recon. Since then I continue to coach junior Rugby League in the Panthers junior competition. Living the dream I have been craving since childhood.
