Vodafone - soon to be vodagone

my work phone is a vodafone and ive never had any problems with it at all , vodafone have just invested how many hundreds of millions of dollars in a 3G network they are hardly going to pull out now.

I think the person that told you that probally also thinks that Tupac and Elvis share a place in cuba.

Yes, you're right. It's obvious I'm in way over my head here. The point I wanted to make but got sidetracked was that mobile pricing full stop is too high (re: stuff stories). I was having a gripe at Vodafone. I'm not a business customer so I use it for personal use, the Telecom $10 text is way more appealing than the $43 Vodafone contract I'm on right now.

Vodafone is a BIG company. Even if they were having troubles they have a big bankroll to fall back on. Also rememeber when Vodafone first arrived they claimed ALOT of ground off telecom, its natural telecom would stake some of that back, its just the market maturing.
Anyways, a company thats just released a 3G network doesn't sound to me like one in trouble.

Well after three days of reading these replies and seeing how people react, Im quiet hesitant to correct myself. But I will.

I have been a loyal vodafone supporter ever since I can remember. I have never worked for them. My source will remain anonymous.

I never said Vodafone would pack up an leave. I said,
"Is this the sign of a complete loss for Vodafone?"

In a race to own the market share they have lost.

The only other tid bit of information I can offer is this.

I've had 4 phones with Vodafone since 1999. I've never had any of these problems.

Just so we have some balance....

I've had 5 phones with Vodafone since 1999 and I often get delayed messages.

This is more likely to do with the cell coverage or overloading than the phone I'd have thought.

Using vodaphone for ages, always liked it over telecom mainly because of the network type they use and how easy it is to text family overseas.

However, I have found that since voda have "released" their 3g network, that message times are delayed, I'll receive 4 text messages all in a row, when they were sent seperate times apart.

And don't get me started on TelstraClear either. Since voda have gone 3g, Telstra have started to suck as well.......
