The whole thing is as good as Battlestar Galatica. But shinier.

The only downside is the rips from IPT all seem to have the same censoring of swearing. It's mildly annoying given it's only people from Earth who use recognisable swearwords, it mars the effect.

The Expanse is not doing it for me eh, I don't mind it and its interesting enough but its not gripping me.
Also I've never ready the Expanse books so I'm not familiar with the lore/story so that might have something to do with it.
BSG is still my top benchmark for Sci Fi's in my books.

So Powerless seems a bit shit. Watched the first two episodes and there are some laughs, and Danny Pudi is great, but it is just a bit flat.

I haven't seen the original pilot but the trailer for that gave off a completely different feeling. Pity, it did look quite fun. I'll give it a few more episodes to see if it finds its legs, but I don't have my hopes up.

Bout halfway through S1 now, enjoying it. Way more graphically bloody than I expected, which is kinda neat for a TV show. It feels a bit like League of Extraordinary Gentlemen done right. So far so win.

Cinc, you might fancy a show called Quarry. Aired last year I believe, only 8 episodes. The finale is pretty fucking great.

Huh...one of the female characters looked really familiar...it turns out it was Frankie Adams who was in Shortland Street back in the day...yes I admit I did watch Shortland Street...many years ago though.

About 6 eps in - it's... okay.

If you can put up with Danny Rand being fucking clueless for the first couple of episodes it does pick up though.

Fight scenes are not really a patch on DD though - except for Colleen who is outstanding.

Yeah just finished S2, and it felt to me like the producers went "wow Eva Green is smoking hot so let's make the show all about her" after S1. I didn't really care that much about anything that happened in S2 other than Rose Tyler starting to go nutty.

S1 was good enough for me to give S3 an episode or two of goodwill. If it stays at the level of S2 I'll probably dump it and start on Legion.

Tell you what though, the actor who plays Dorian Gray is hypnotically beautiful.

They had come to terms with digging a grave and burying their parallel universe "selves" that had recently died, and inserting themselves into a family that isn't really theirs, because they'd just destroyed all of humanity in their own world.

That was Season 1, Episode 6. I'd say it's always been pretty dark.

I don't think they got the right actor for the part of Iron Fist IMO.
He's just not convincing and the fight scenes aren't particularly great.
