I made a decision early on to flag trying to do the epicbow quest, I weighted up the time, gold, fruastions and stress and thought fuck it, I'm not putting myself through that shit.

haha yeah I only hit neutral about a week ago - I'd saved up all the lords' insignias and artifacts and handed them in once I stopped getting rep from trash at 2999/3k neutral, so that took me from friendly to most of the way through honored

Got a Maladath, Runed Blade of the Black Flight to offhand with my Chromatically Tempered Sword last BWL and +4 swords really makes a nice difference to DPS

See if you can agree with me on something Nova - My theory is anything we come across so far +8 will totally cancel out the glancing blow effect. Everyone talks about the magic number being +10 but so far I can work out it is +8.

Best example being Razuvious with his high ass defence/armor whatever. I glance at around 15-16% white dmg lost and with +5 it drops to 4-5%. Nefarian is around the same. Patchwerk drops from 10%ish to around 3%.

I'm not sure. I've not had a good look at any numbers. From what I've read, isn't +10 enough to pretty much negate the damage reduction from glancing blows completely? How do you figure the +8?

Pretty much my post above is why I think its +8 :P

+5 on average saves 75% of my white damage lost on almost every single boss (from 15% to 5%) i've tested. Therefore you'd only need around +3 skill to totally negate the glancing effects.

I will take some screenshots of the glancing reprort for our next series of patchwerk assrapes and post the results.

(Also one of our swordies have cts/mala and +4 almost exactly cuts their white dmg loss inhalf)
