Arrests follow school rugby death

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/ar...ectid=10888957

Good ol' Kelston boys. There seems to be at least two articles in the herald every year about this meathead school and its violent tendencies on the field.

Other articles that I have seen recently include a 9 year old boy who was forced by his father to punch another boy, an under 7's referee being headbutted by a parent, Julian Savea being arrested for assault (while advertising against domestic violence),Francis Saili driving while disqualified, Kurtis Haiu has again appeared in court, and of course the glamorous fight between NSW and QLD during the latest State of Origin game.

Oi ! as a KBHS old boy I resent that.

You don't even know if the 2 kids that assaulted the other lad were students at the school or not. But go ahead, jump to conclusions.

Yeah that was a fucking disgrace. 2 cheap shots excused away because he's been the leading forward the previous few series and needed to be 'stood up against'. Wtf. That's some hick shit right there.

Broadly related:
Watching the state of origin the other day and I was blown away to see the soft way on field violence was dealt with, and thus the message of what was acceptable behaviour. Gallen makes head contact with a swinging arm and then after the play of the ball coldcocked Myle's with a 1-2 punch. His punishment? A yellow at the least? No, he was put on report resulting in a 1 game suspension which won't see him miss the next origin game. I'm all for letting the 'handbags-at-dawn' type fights go or at worst a penalty, but if repeatedly punching another player in the head doesn't result in a card. what does?

Resent all you want. It's your scrubby school that makes the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Along with rugby and league. I have no interest in watching a sport that promotes thuggery.

My personal favorite is Matthew Johns. He and the Cronulla sharks know what true comradery is. They were quite the sharing bunch.

New Zealand Rugby and Eden Park management both said last night they did not condone the men's behaviour - but stadium bosses said it wasn't their job to be the "PC police".

Robinson, 36, will appear in the Morrinsville District Court next month charged with driving with a suspended licence.

Last year, a violent outburst by Robinson during a "man cave" pub crawl around his hometown of Te Aroha gained national attention. He was sentenced in the Rotorua District Court in January to nine months' supervision and 300 hours' community work for injuring with intent to injure.

Objection!

The mind boggles at the Eden Park spokesperson's idiocy. If the organisation itself condones this sort of behaviour, at least do a better job of disguising it. If they don't, she really should be sacked.

My own suspicion is that the organisation secretly condones this kind of thing. GG, idiots.

If the yobbos were calling the Island boys playing "niggers", do you think the Spokesperson would be getting away with insisting it would have been unnecessary political correctness to do something about it? I can't see that flying...

All Black Israel Dagg yesterday quickly withdrew a joke comment calling Auckland Blues player Brendon O'Connor a "fag" on Twitter.

I don't think I deserved 10 minutes in the sin bin. Nate said something to me and got up and pushed me. What do you do? It's a man's game. It's an intense, hard environment where you don't want to take a backward step.

''There's no way I would have done that on the street. It's a totally different environment, it's a pressure cooker and I can't believe they are going down that path.

Teen rugby player receives season ban for punches

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news...ectid=10891575

I wonder what Paul Gallen thinks of the Wanganui Rugby Union for banning this young fulla? He'd probably call them a bunch of faggits, then defecate in the club's foyer.
