Really looking forward to this one now. Had no idea it was even being made until the teaser website went up the other day.

Certainly looks like it from Thomas Anderson's apparent inability to recognise Morpheus, and his attraction and compulsion towards Trinity but again no actual recognition.

I know, right? On the Keanu front it's been John Wick 3, no hints of this. Not that I've been looking, but I would have thought people would be unable to shut up about this if it was let out.

The first sentence seems to imply that the sequels could be ignored or made non-canon.

This thread inspired me to rewatch the original, which I just finished. I still1 think it's just as good as it was in 1999. As for the sequels? Nah, sorry, not for me.

I did rewatch the first. They did such a cracking job of setting everything up and telling a decent self contained story I was genuinely reinterested in where the story could go next. Then I watched the first 15 of reloaded and just killed it.

just like when music went from CDs to digital, media will need to change their way of reporting the success of a movie.
Simultaneous release of a movie in Cinema and online is of course going to have a huge effect on the movie takings.
