Although expensive shipping costs. They told me they were working on cheaper options a few weeks ago though, so could have changed.

The first step is to talk to them about it. Ideally while they're not in the midst of a manic episode.

Otherwise see your GP, or a psychologist, psychotherapist or psychiatrist. I wouldn't bother with the GP personally, however the other three a quite expensive.

Brilliant insight, bob0r

I'd say talk to her about seeing her GP as a starting point.

And I would recommend the ones that aren't doctors before I'd recommend the doctors. In New Zealand at least.

Funny thing is, most people's impression of the mental health industry is fed by what they see on TV. However each country's system works quite differently and our system is very much different to the US system.

See a GP or psychiatrist if you want to take a pill, see a psychologist or a psychotherapist if you want to address the underlying issue.

My impression of mental health from media is a mix between Frasier, Fight Club, and Rain Man.

Maybe a little Dr Phil thanks to not having a day job recently.

I did once. Due to the small space, I did a tidy signature on my card and a quick scrawl on the document, which they got me to sign again.

Seriously though, if I'm getting paid minimum wage and I think someone is trying to steal something via CC fraud, I ain't gonna risk confronting them.

I'd suggest you just aren't aware when it's being checked. You don't have to hold up the card next to the slip to check they match. Most people been doing it long enough will be able to check without doing that, frequently after handing the card back anyway.

That said, minimum wage-slaves don't care heh.

Had a customer last week that got through after they fucked up the pin 3 times, then they let the customer sign for it. Which looked nothing like the signature, so they let him sign it again, and accepted it. -_-! Turns out the card was stolen.

When I was working at The Warehouse (over a decade ago and it still stains my conscience) I was one of the few that did; And I refused customers that couldn't even do a decent approximation of their signature. My manager didn't know WTF to do; Couldn't tell me off because I was technically doing the right thing, couldn't praise me either as it would piss off the customers.
