umm, no I don't mean religious people controlling your thoughts with mindbeams or anything. More that religious people need you to take on their mystical belief system more than an atheist needs someone to take on their belief system. Meh.

The Religious person needs to control others thoughts to make their reality work.
How do they do that exactly?

My experience with the Church is that they teach their philosophy and it's up to whether you want to take it in or not. There are many different political things that go on within the Church also, there are many Christians that believe in evolution for example and that's something the church leaders have to deal with.

Religion is based on popular vote, you may have had a 'god' experience or believe in a higher power, but it is due to either family, friend or church control/persuasion that you choose to invest in that particular philosophy.

While this may not hold true for ALL theists, it will for the majority.

Just because you experience a higher power, doesn't mean it has to be attributed to a particular philosophy, the church requires you to believe that their belief system is the right one and you should tithe/donate to keep their belief alive.

It is written in the bible to tithe but should never be forced, of course there are some churches that do it but they don't represent everyone. The church doesn't require you to believe in their system, you decide that for yourself. If a church does force you to believe in their ideals then they are doing it wrong. Like I said, there are many Christians who believe in evolution and pastors may disagree with them but they certainly won't judge them...well at my church they don't anyway.

Now in the bible it says
Thou shalt not watch two lesbians in bed
Have homosexual sex
Unless of course you were given the consent to join in
Then of course it's intercourse and it's bi-sexual sex
Which isn't as bad as long as you show some remorse for your actions
Either before, during, or after performing the act of that which
Is normally referred to as such more commonly known phrases
That are more used by todays kids
In a more derogatory way
But who's to say what's fair to say and what not to say
Lets ask Dr. Dre

I've got some jetstar tickets I want to give to someone else but the cost of transferring the name on the tickets is more than the tickets originally cost.

Does anyone know if Jetstar has kiosk check-ins in welly and chch? thus avoiding ID at check-in

I just noticed that there are two twigs/branches on a tree across the road that under certain conditions (ie where my head is, sky colour and the wind etc) they give the impression that there is an arrow cursor IRL. The conditions are so fine that I don't think I could take a pic to show it, yet now that I have seen it, I keep seeing it.

I've flown jetstar twice now. Once with check in and once without.
I didn't get asked for ID at all, nor did all the ppl I was travelling with. Even when their check in system broke down and they had to do it manually.

Chances are you will be fine.

I don't get it, shes ugly... so are sooo many other people in the world.

Just this morning i walked passed an ugo bitch on the way to work, seems we should hold a celebration with a headline like 'UGO BITCHES HAVE JOBS TOO!'

Her singing just seems like a thousand other singers to me, nothing really 'earth shattering' as everyone seems to think.

Woman locks herself in cupboard for 7 hours and it's front page news. So the Herald publishes bullshit - no news there. But what the fuck sort of cupboard is this that has a lock on it? Is it like a normal door handle where you have to turn it but maybe there wasn't another handle on the inside? 'Cos that's just dumb.

The question that comes to my mind is - why did they bother telling the herald about it in the first place? Are they that hungry for attention?

Also, getting pwned by baby = lol

yeah, 'I saw the news today - oh lol ...'
Thank fuck for the internet.

Waits for xor's foot to pop up as frontpage headline:

Area man mocked for cock-like foot
'... they said it looked like it had Down's'

Actually, that is better news!

Indeed. The theory at http://editingtheherald.blogspot.com/ is that the woman is a mate of the journalist. I use 'journalist' loosely when referring to a melodramatic story better suited to the Woman's Weekly.

I read the news today oh lol
About a little boy who locked the door
And though the news was rather lame
Well I just had to laugh
I saw the photograph

The front page is broken down into 3 sections - head, heart, and wallet. The current editor believes that this is best way to compose a front page that also allows for consistency each day:

Women locked in cupboard = heart
Too radical - english rejects brash plan = wallet
Agency axed as govt acts on legal aid = head

Often the front page leads with a picture of whale - go figure.
