Ok bro, I didn't even make it to the 3 min mark. Talk about awwwwwkward. But I'm sorry, at this stage I just don't see her career evolving. She is all about the shock value and not about the music. "Telephone" is a terrible song (imo) but because it has an edgy, risque, provocative, 10 min long music video it's suddenly being compared to MJ's "Thriller". Give me a break.

Anyway, keen to hear your view on her.

Telephone was the result of a lot of drama though - sorta. Like she was gonna tour with Kanye and coming up with all kinds of ideas of shit to do with him and then he pretty much quit because he's a gay fish.

lol I read a bunch of Lady Gaga's biography because I got stuck in borders for 3 hours one day

Her whole career was founded on shock though, her initial performance that got her really into the industry she took off all her clothes but her underwear to get the attention of the place she was playing in apparently O:

I thought the whole point of karma was that nothing was random? i.e. if something bad happens to you, it's karmic by its very nature

Oh I meant that it wasn't caused by your actions in the literal sense (ie. you punched a guy and then 10 weeks later his friend punches you) but that it was caused purely by karma (ie. you punch a guy and then 10 weeks later your car breaks down outside cell reception range)

Afaik in Eastern religion karma can come from past lives. So potentially you could always do good things but bad things could always happen to you. This appears to make the notion of karma pointless - but it does have a very practical implication in that it removes the causal effect of a negative event. Something bad happens to you - it's just karma from a past life - carry on.
