I watched the first three Invisibles, been meaning to get round to the rest. I found it a bit middle of the road though.

4 was pretty good - Grace has worked out (Sid fucked it up) what her dad used to do (ie it isn't what she thought when he said "nice safe bank job")

This might only appeal to me, but as fan of both Iron Chef and Top Chef, it's nice to see Ted Allen get his own Food Network show.
http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/06/11/te...-food-network/ Called "Food Detectives", starts late July. |

2 new Fantasy shows have started.
Haven't seen them yet though. True Blood ---------- Show Summary: Based on the popular ‘Southern Vampire,’ book series by Charlaine Harris, “True Blood” follows the adventures of a small-town cocktail waitress Sookie Stackhouse (who all her life was an outsider due to her gift/curse of being a telepath) and how her life is turned upside down when a member of the undead (the vampire race ‘came out of the coffin’ several years earlier) walks into her life one fateful night. and... The Middle Man --------------- Show Summary: The Middleman is based on the comic book by Javier Grillo-Marxauch (Medium, The Chronicle), The show follows Wendy Watson when she get recruited by a secret agency, directed by the Middleman. Together they fight mad scientist, evil supervillains, ghosts, ghouls, zombies, and science experiments gone wild. |

Need to get rid of the annoying old neighbour storyline and get down to more swinging though. |

I just watched a couple of new shows that are really good.
The first is Wipeout, which is very much like an American Takeshi's Castle. It has a couple of presenters taking the piss out of the contestants which is great, including John Henson who is awesome. Freakin' hilarious. The second is I Survived a Japanese Gameshow, which is a reality TV show that flies 12 Americans to Japan to compete against each other in a Japanese game show. They didn't know they were flying to Japan on competing in a gameshow until they were on the set of the show. I don't like the Reality TV context, but the Japanese taking the piss out of the Americans is awesome.

So I just saw the pilot for Fringe. Looks a little x-filesish, a little alias-ish.
I watched it without knowing anything about it, and I thought it was fucking fantastic.. until i saw the end credits. Fuck Fuck Fuck. A Bad Robot productions.. aka it's made by the guys that made Lost, Alias, Cloverfield etc. I love these.. but omg it's going to hurt me so much with its unending plot twists and unexplained questions

Yeah Wipeout is gold, the other one (I survived a Japanese gameshow) was painful and had to stop it about halfway through. Wipeout is bloody funny though

Just got done with Fringe, it was rather good for a pilot - will definitely watch more. Bonus points for Lance Reddick (Lt. Daniels from The Wire) and Peter Outerbridge's wee cameo as the hospital doctor.

Just finished 4th season of The Wire...god damn good season. Usually i hate stuff that's focused around kids, but these had to be the best kid actors i've ever seen.
