I'm probably the only one here, but season 2 of Utopia started last night in the UK, and I can't fucking wait to get home and watch!

Watched first ep last night and enjoyed. Directed (first ep anyway) by Guillermo Del Toro. Good horror mix with a bit of sci-fi.

Supposedly episode 3 has a 7 minute long segment where the internet gets turned on purely so they can do the most grating product placement ever for a windows tablet.

And yeah we stopped after the second Ad Break (was simul watching with someone watching it on amazon video) and were like I don't want to watch ads if all I get at the end of ads is worse than ads.

So freaking good. Music, animation, story, brutality, feels, all excellent.

Utopia seems to be a love it or hate it show, I'm firmly in the former. The 1st episode of season 2 was some of the best TV I've seen.

Agree with Manhattan, enjoying that too.

Theres three shows called Utopia running at the moment. The US reality show one, the UK drama/thriller, and an AUS comedy about a government department.

Ive seen a few eps of the AUS one and quite like it, kinda has a Clarke and Dawe vibe to it.

Watched SOA s07e01 last night and I wondered if something that stuck out to me was supposed to be subtle - In the preacher orgy scene the fourth guy was filming it with his phone and inadvertently filmed Jax killing them. But it looked like they left the the phone on the bed ???

While I really like Capaldi as the Doctor all of the episodes I've seen so far (yes watching it on TV) have been train wrecks. So very disappointed.

Personally don't agree .. series so far has been darker .. but overall very enjoyable for its own merits.

The only bits that bothered me so far (i haven't watched the latest yet) were in the Robin Hood ep where the prize was a gold arrow... which then solved the eps problem by being shot into the side of the ship where it somehow worked as fuel
