I'll bet their kids aren't too happy with their parents' financial decisions.
I'm honestly surprised at how many people invest their money in finance companies. None of my family ever have. It just seems like an odd place to put your money. The risk isn't worth it imo. |

Got a title at work that has an entire scene cut out of it. Problem is, the scene cut is the one with the leading actress, who's on the cover. We have to sell the title at cost now. "Um, before you get this DVD, I need to advise you that the actress on the cover isn't in the movie *at all*". Reason for the cut? She ejaculates for about .8 of a second. The censors don't discriminate between pissing and female ejaculation. The funniest part of this is the fact that they didn't bother cutting the 4 second pee another actress has during the intro preview. (it definitely wasn't female ejaculation). |

Lidded roasting dishes are what it's all about. Except for maybe pork, if you want the crispy cracklin's.

"Forcing homosexual students, perhaps already struggling with their sexuality, to sign a contract would only increase "the ridicule and the whispers" experienced by many teenagers, Dillon said."
But they are wanting to take their partner to the ball. I can see it as schools wanting to stop people just bringing their friends from outside the school. |

I remember they wanted to do the same kind of thing at our school many years ago. this is total bullshit, and i'm glad they're being called out on it. There's just no excuse for this kind of crap.

If you can bring a SO from another school why not a friend? Seriously, what's the freaking difference...and the problem? Is there some sort of social convention that demands that we're boffing those we take to functions with us?

And in other news; further evidence that Putin is a badass: http://www.stuff.co.nz/4676740a4560.html As if the world needed any more evidence.

I've had bad experiences with most of these guys. They're not out to find you the job you're after; they mostly want to sell you into a role that suits them best in terms of commission and their account portfolio. They tend not to listen to what you're really after as well. I've had lengthy 'here's the kind of job I'm looking for' meetings, only to be presented with jobs very wide of that mark - very frustrating. I'll be proactive myself I think; but will still let a few people know I'm looking I guess... just in case. Quote:

Mate, in the 12 years of my 'serious job' life, there've been very few periods where I haven't thought about it. And yes - I'm fully aware that probably means I'm not happy with my career choices, rather than the companies I work for.
Hence why I need to be more proactive with what I'm doing rather than just transfer to an equivalent role somewhere else.

Nothing to See Here!

Recruitment agents are mostly interested in rotating people, I've had oneplace someone to work here then call me up a week later to try and get me to apply for that guys old job (which would of course create another opening here that they could try and fill). Shifty bastards. Also explains why they are not as keen to help you when you are unemployed.
